Comic-Con Málaga Dates, Venue and Opening Hours

The second edition of San Diego Comic-Con Málaga will take place from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 October 2026 at FYCMA, the Málaga Trade Fair and Congress Centre, located on Avenida de José Ortega y Gasset.

The venue will open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on all four days. The exhibition halls will close at 8:00 p.m., Artists’ Alley will remain open until 9:00 p.m., and spaces such as Crystal Hall and the Village will continue operating until 10:00 p.m.

The programme includes more than 300 hours of panels, workshops, exhibitions, competitions, concerts, drawing sessions, presentations, board games, role-playing activities and events connected to some of popular culture’s best-known franchises.

The Biggest Guests

The 2026 line-up includes actors, directors, comic artists, screenwriters, voice actors, video game professionals and leading figures from manga and animation.

Announced guests include Karl Urban and Aya Cash, known for their roles in The Boys; Elijah Wood and Sean Astin from The Lord of the Rings; and Casper Van Dien, Denise Richards, Dina Meyer, Michael Ironside and Jake Busey, who will take part in a special Starship Troopers reunion.

Iñaki Godoy and Taz Skylar from One Piece will also attend, alongside Paul Bettany, who will present new material related to VisionQuest; Kevin Smith, Jason Lee and Michael Rooker; and members of the main cast of Los Serrano, including Antonio Resines, Fran Perea, Natalia Sánchez, Antonio Molero, Víctor Elías and Jorge Jurado.

The comic programme will feature creators such as John Romita Jr., Pepe Larraz, Jorge Jiménez, Rick Leonardi, Carmen Carnero and Helen Chen. Manga and anime guests will include Captain Tsubasa creator Yoichi Takahashi, Cowboy Bebop director Shin’ichirō Watanabe and Yoshihiro Ueda, who has worked on productions including Dragon Ball and One Piece.

What to See Each Day

Thursday 1 October will begin with activities dedicated to board games, comics and video games. Karl Urban and Aya Cash will lead a discussion about antiheroes at 2:30 p.m., while the cast of Los Serrano will reunite at 5:30 p.m. The day will end with a musical event connected to the world of Silent Hill.

Friday 2 will place particular emphasis on manga and anime. Yoichi Takahashi will take part in a live drawing session, Shin’ichirō Watanabe will explore the legacy of Cowboy Bebop, and Yoshihiro Ueda will discuss his career in Japanese animation. Iñaki Godoy and Taz Skylar will also participate in a panel about One Piece.

Saturday 3 will feature a Disney block with content from Marvel, Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios. Paul Bettany will present VisionQuest, while several comic artists will examine the evolution of Spider-Man. The day will also offer sessions about role-playing games, voice acting, animation and video game development.

Sunday 4 will include “From the Shire to Málaga”, featuring Elijah Wood and Sean Astin at 4:15 p.m. The Starship Troopers reunion will follow at 6:15 p.m. Pascu and Rodri will also perform a Destripando la Historia concert at 11:30 a.m.

New Spaces for Comics, Gaming and Cosplay

The 2026 edition expands the venue to more than 90,000 square metres. The redesigned layout includes four auditoriums, rooms for workshops and games, an independent gaming area and a space dedicated to Asian culture.

Artists’ Alley will bring together more than 90 creators, while the new Exhibitor Hall will add approximately 9,000 square metres for shops, publishers, collectables and brands. The outdoor Village will connect the different areas and provide activities, food, shade and places to rest.

Cosplay will have competitions, photography areas and the Cospital, a space prepared to carry out small emergency repairs to costumes and accessories. Workshops and K-pop competitions will also form part of the programme.

Tickets, Reservations, Autographs and Photographs

General admission costs €84.80 per day, including booking fees. The ticket for children costs €37.10, while admission for children aged three and under is free, although availability is limited. A four-day package is also available.

Admission provides access to the exhibition areas, activities and panels included in the general programme, as well as an official welcome pack. Certain autograph sessions, photographs and special encounters require an additional payment.

The Fan Portal allows attendees to check their tickets, save favourite activities, create a personalised schedule and manage available reservations. Adding an activity to the schedule does not guarantee admission: when a panel requires a reservation, the corresponding confirmation is necessary.

Visitors Can Bring Their Own Food and Drinks

One of the main changes is that visitors will be allowed to bring their own food and drinks into the venue. FYCMA will also have food trucks, catering areas, water fountains, places to rest, charging points, first aid services and a breastfeeding room.

Official maps show the location of the exhibition halls, auditoriums, services and different entrances. Lockers will also be available for backpacks, purchases, luggage and cosplay costume changes, although their use will be subject to availability.

How to Reach FYCMA

The special L64 shuttle will connect Alameda Principal with FYCMA throughout the four-day event. Services will begin at 7:00 a.m. and stop at locations including Avenida de Andalucía, Perchel, the bus station, Cruz de Humilladero and Camino de San Rafael.

Visitors can also use regular EMT bus routes 4, 19, 20 and 22. Those travelling by commuter train can take the C-1 or C-2 lines to Victoria Kent and walk from the station to the venue.

FYCMA’s usual car parks will form part of the convention site. Four free parking areas will be provided for visitors, located between ten and twenty minutes away from the entrance on foot.

Comic-Con Activities in Málaga City Centre

The programme will extend beyond FYCMA. The Animesy, a symphony orchestra specialising in anime music, will perform on 2 and 3 October at 9:00 p.m. at Espacio Sohrlin Andalucía.

The programme will include music from Dragon Ball, Death Note, Naruto, Pokémon, Sailor Moon, One Piece, Demon Slayer and several Studio Ghibli films. General admission costs €65, while Comic-Con Málaga ticket holders can receive a 10% discount.

Cine Albéniz will also host a series of subtitled original-language screenings from 1 to 3 October. The selected films are Mimic, Chasing Amy and the extended edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
