Marbella TodoDanza 2026: dates, performances and full festival programme

Dance will once again take over Marbella’s cultural calendar for more than a month this autumn. The 17th edition of Marbella TodoDanza will begin on 3 October and continue until 6 November with a programme combining flamenco, contemporary dance, family-friendly performances, outdoor shows and educational activities.

A total of 14 companies and artists will take part, with events spread across the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella, the Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo and the Paseo de la Alameda.

This year’s festival is presented under the theme “Poetics of the Body”, exploring dance as a form of expression capable of conveying memory, identity, emotion and different ways of relating to the world around us.

Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía will open the festival

The first major event will take place on 3 October at the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella.

The opening performance will be given by the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía, under the artistic and choreographic direction of Patricia Guerrero.

Its presence places flamenco at the heart of the opening weekend and reinforces the strong Andalusian representation running through this year’s programme.

From there, the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella will host several of the festival’s main large-scale productions.

Five major performances at Teatro Ciudad de Marbella

After the opening night, the theatre programme continues on 9 October with Marcat Dance and Afines.

Two days later, on 11 October, Thomas Noone Dance will present La gata que quería cambiar la historia, a production with a format particularly suited to family audiences.

On 17 October, the stage will host Los Bailes Robados by David Coria, a production recognised with the 2024 Talía Award.

The programme continues on 24 October with Chey Jurado and Marea Weekend.

The final major performance of the festival will take place on 6 November, when Málaga-born artist Rocío Molina closes the 17th edition with Calentamiento.

Dance returns to the streets on 4 October

Marbella TodoDanza will not be limited to traditional theatre venues.

The Paseo de la Alameda will host the “Bailarle a la paz” series on 4 October, with two outdoor performances.

Audiences will be able to see Unarys by Eszer and Juan Caballo by Juan Berlanga.

This part of the programme brings dance directly into one of Marbella’s busiest public spaces, allowing residents and visitors to experience performances without entering a conventional venue.

Dance and visual art meet at the Museo del Grabado

Another key venue will be the Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo, which will host the “Movimiento y Abstracción” series.

The programme begins there on 8 October with Para Antonio by Juan de Juan.

On 14 October, the museum will host Picassa by Lorena Nogal, winner of Spain’s 2024 National Dance Award, alongside Cuerpo Raíz by Rebeca Ortega.

The series continues on 22 October with AntonioAntonioAntonio by the Carlos Carvento company.

The final museum performance will take place on 29 October with Cuerpo Sordo, featuring José Manuel Benítez, Ana Almagro and Hsueh Yuhsien.

Antonio El Bailarín will be a recurring presence throughout the festival

The 2026 edition will also include a recurring tribute to one of the most important figures in Spanish dance: Antonio Ruiz Soler, known as Antonio El Bailarín.

The official festival image is dedicated to him and has been created by local artist GerMan, who depicts him on El Rodeo beach, close to the Marbella home where he once lived.

The reference to Antonio El Bailarín extends beyond the poster and appears throughout different parts of the programme.

One of the main related events will be a screening of the documentary “Antonio, El Bailarín de España”, scheduled for 7 October at 6:00 pm at Instituto Río Verde.

Workshops and training activities

Marbella TodoDanza also includes activities aimed at those who want to engage with dance through practical learning.

On 21 October, Chey Jurado will lead a workshop at Teatro Ciudad de Marbella.

There will also be a Spanish dance masterclass led by dancers Ana Almagro and José Manuel Benítez.

These activities expand the festival beyond performance and create more direct contact between professionals, students and dance enthusiasts.

How to get tickets

Performances at the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella will require paid tickets, available both at the box office and through mientrada.net.

The City Council has also provided telephone sales via 902 646 289.

For activities taking place at the Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo, as well as the documentary screening, an invitation will be required.

The performances at Paseo de la Alameda will take place in a public outdoor space, making them directly accessible to the public.

More than a month dedicated to dance in Marbella

Marbella TodoDanza was created to increase the visibility of dance and bring it closer to audiences who may not usually attend dance performances.

Seventeen editions later, the festival continues to follow that approach, combining major stage productions with outdoor performances, museum-based events, training activities and shows for different audiences.

The official programme will run from 3 October to 6 November 2026, turning Marbella into one of Málaga province’s key dance destinations for five weeks.
