Marbepop 2026 celebrates 40 years in Marbella with Malmö 040, Las Dianas and La Leshe Que Mamate

Marbepop is turning 40 and will celebrate by putting Marbella’s young music scene back in the spotlight. The festival returns on Saturday, 3 October 2026 to Parque de La Represa, where it will offer a full afternoon and evening of free live music from 4:00 pm to midnight.

The anniversary edition will be headlined by Malmö 040, Las Dianas and La Leshe Que Mamate, while local talent will also play a major role. In total, seven acts on the line-up come from Marbella or San Pedro Alcántara.

The aim is to recover the spirit with which Marbepop was created four decades ago: providing a meeting point for young people and a stage where local musicians can connect with new audiences.

Malmö 040 and Las Dianas come to Marbella

Among the main national acts is Malmö 040, who will bring their fresh pop sound to the festival, alongside Las Dianas, the Granada band known for combining pop-punk, guitars and irreverent, ironic lyrics.

They will share the stage with a group closely linked to Marbepop’s own history: La Leshe Que Mamate.

The Marbella band was part of the festival’s early years and will return for the 40th anniversary with its characteristic mix of ska and upbeat sounds.

Their appearance will create a link between Marbepop’s origins and a new generation of local artists.

Seven local acts on the line-up

Supporting Marbella’s own music scene remains one of Marbepop’s defining features.

Alongside La Leshe Que Mamate, Skabum will perform, a band from San Pedro Alcántara that has gained visibility after becoming a finalist on the television programme La Voz Kids.

The local line-up also includes Aigy, Klimax, Hizooz, Hako and Ñeco, bringing styles such as rap, trap, afro and contemporary urban music to the festival.

The stage at La Represa will therefore bring together artists linked to Marbella’s musical past with performers representing its current scene.

Eight hours of music with free admission

One of the biggest attractions of Marbepop 2026 will once again be its open and accessible format.

Admission will be completely free, with performances running for eight hours, from 4:00 pm until midnight.

Parque de La Represa will effectively become an open-air music venue for the entire afternoon and evening, with different styles and generations sharing the same stage.

Factoría Joven and a charitable side to the festival

Music will not be the only focus of the event.

Marbepop will also include Factoría Joven, a space designed to showcase artistic and entrepreneurial projects connected with young people.

There will also be a bar with affordable prices, with part of the proceeds going to a local NGO.

The festival’s reusable cup system will have a charitable purpose as well, with money raised through the ecocup scheme donated to Triple A, the Marbella-based animal protection association.

Four decades of youth culture and live music in Marbella

The anniversary also provides an opportunity to look back.

Marbepop began 40 years ago as an event closely linked to youth culture in Marbella. Although musical styles and generations have changed considerably since then, the 2026 edition aims to recover the original idea of offering young artists a space to perform and gain visibility.

The line-up reflects that evolution perfectly: a historic local band such as La Leshe Que Mamate will share the stage with national acts Malmö 040 and Las Dianas, as well as younger artists from Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara.

On 3 October, La Represa will once again become a major open-air stage for eight hours, combining nostalgia, new sounds, local talent and a charitable element.
