Candlelight Illuminates Marbella: New Candlelit Concerts Arriving in 2026

Marbella’s evenings will once again glow with the warm light of thousands of candles as Candlelight launches its new 2026 season.

The concert series transforms famous pop, rock, classical and film music into intimate performances by string quartets, pianists and other classical ensembles, all staged in carefully selected venues surrounded by candlelight.

This year’s programme combines open-air summer performances with indoor concerts during the Christmas season, featuring music by Queen, ABBA, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Michael Jackson, Ed Sheeran and Mecano.

Open-Air Concerts in July and August

The summer programme will take place at the Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavís Marbella Resort, located between Marbella, Benahavís and Estepona.

The resort’s gardens and Roman-inspired amphitheatre provide the setting for a series of evening performances under the stars.

The season begins on July 11 with Queen vs. ABBA, bringing together classical versions of some of the two groups’ greatest hits.

On July 18, the programme continues with Coldplay & Imagine Dragons, featuring instrumental arrangements of some of the bands’ most recognisable songs.

Hans Zimmer, Vivaldi and Ludovico Einaudi Under the Stars

Film music will also feature prominently in the summer schedule.

On July 25, Candlelight Open Air will present The Best of Hans Zimmer, with music from films such as The Lion King, Interstellar, Gladiator, Dune, The Dark Knight and Pirates of the Caribbean.

The concert will begin at 9:30 p.m. and will be performed by a string quartet.

On August 8, audiences will be able to enjoy Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, one of the best-known works in the classical repertoire.

The summer programme will continue on August 14 with a tribute to Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi, whose minimalist pieces have appeared in numerous films and television productions.

Christmas Concerts Featuring Michael Jackson, Ed Sheeran and Mecano

After the summer season, Candlelight will return in December with a series of indoor concerts at the Salón Linares at Anantara Villa Padierna.

On December 19, two concerts will take place. A tribute to Michael Jackson will begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by Coldplay vs. Ed Sheeran at 9:00 p.m.

On December 20, the venue will host Christmas Classics at 9:00 p.m.

The programme will continue on December 26 with a tribute to Mecano at 7:00 p.m., followed by a concert dedicated to Christmas film soundtracks at 9:00 p.m.

The Season Continues into January 2027

The Candlelight season will extend beyond Christmas.

On January 8, 2027, Salón Linares will host Vivaldi’s Four Seasons at 7:00 p.m. and a tribute to Hans Zimmer at 9:00 p.m.

On January 9, the programme will continue with a concert dedicated to ABBA and other major disco hits.

Ticket Prices

Tickets start at approximately €25, although prices vary depending on the concert, date and seating area selected.

Summer concerts generally start between €26 and €34.50, while December and January performances usually begin at between €25 and €28.

Candlelight aims to create a closer connection between the musicians, the repertoire and the audience.

The warm lighting, selected venues and classical arrangements allow familiar songs to be experienced from a different perspective.
