Fuengirola hosts Andalusia’s largest free toy and collectors’ fair at Sohail Castle this weekend
More than 55 exhibitors from Spain and Portugal will gather on October 31 and November 1 for a weekend featuring vintage toys, LEGO, Playmobil, Pokémon cards, children's workshops and Halloween competitions
Toys that defined the childhoods of several generations are making a comeback on the Costa del Sol this weekend. Fuengirola's Sohail Castle will host the first Fuengirola International Toy and Collectors' Fair on Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, 2026, bringing together collectors, families and pop culture enthusiasts for a free two-day event.
The fair will feature more than 55 exhibitors from across Spain and Portugal, making it the largest event of its kind in Andalusia, according to the organisers.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover vintage toys, collectible figures, video games and rare items, as well as take part in workshops, competitions and Halloween-themed activities.
The event will open on Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 8 pm, with free admission subject to capacity.
More than 55 exhibitors will transform Sohail Castle into a collector's paradise
The historic Sohail Castle will become a major meeting point for toy enthusiasts and collectors over the two-day event.
The fair will bring together specialist stalls where visitors can buy, sell and exchange collectibles from different decades, ranging from vintage pieces to products inspired by the latest entertainment trends.
Variety will be one of its main attractions. Alongside traditional toys, visitors will find items connected to sports memorabilia, entertainment and popular culture.
The event is designed both for dedicated collectors searching for missing pieces and for visitors simply hoping to rediscover the toys they grew up with.
From Barbie and Nancy to LEGO, Playmobil and anime figures
Among the products on display will be classic dolls such as Nancy, Barbie, Chabel and Nenuco, alongside action figures, vintage toys and customised collectibles.
Popular brands and franchises including LEGO, Playmobil, Scalextric, Star Wars and Funko Pop will also feature, together with anime figures and characters from films and television series.
Collectors will also be able to browse coins, banknotes, badges, Pokémon cards, football stickers and historic football shirts.
This combination of classic and contemporary items will appeal to a wide range of interests, from traditional toy collecting to modern pop culture.
Classic games from the 1980s and 1990s will have their own dedicated area
One of the fair's most nostalgic attractions will be a special area dedicated to traditional board games and childhood favourites.
Visitors will be able to rediscover classics such as Simon, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Monopoly, Parchís and The Game of the Goose, along with other games that were popular in Spanish households during the 1980s and 1990s.
The idea is to encourage parents, children and grandparents to share experiences through play.
For adults, it will be an opportunity to revisit childhood memories, while younger visitors can discover forms of entertainment that existed long before smartphones and tablets became part of everyday life.
Fuengirola City Council has highlighted this intergenerational appeal as one of the event's main objectives.
Halloween activities at Fuengirola's Toy Fair on Saturday, October 31
The opening day coincides with Halloween, meaning several activities will focus on costumes, creative workshops and spooky entertainment.
The programme will begin in the morning with the opening of the exhibition stalls, followed by workshops and competitions throughout the afternoon.
Halloween slime workshop at 1 pm
Children aged five and over can participate in a Halloween-themed slime workshop, scheduled for 1 pm.
The activity is limited to 15 participants, so places will be restricted.
Recycled crafts workshop at 2 pm
At 2 pm, another children's workshop will focus on making decorative flower vases using recycled materials.
This activity will accommodate up to 20 children.
The workshop combines creativity with the reuse of everyday materials, offering an alternative to the fair's collecting activities.
Meet Ismael González at 5 pm
At 5 pm, visitors will have the opportunity to meet Ismael González, known as "Dora la Exploradora".
The special guest will join attendees for an entertaining session featuring humour and photo opportunities.
Halloween costume competition with €100 prizes
One of Saturday's main attractions will be the Halloween costume competition, scheduled to begin at 6 pm.
The organisers have established two age categories.
Participants aged 15 and under will compete for a toy bundle worth €100.
Those aged 16 and over will have the chance to win a €100 gift voucher to spend at the fair.
Visitors are encouraged to dress up and enjoy the Halloween atmosphere within the historic castle grounds.
Horror-themed music with DJ Xavi from 7 pm
The evening will continue with music from DJ Xavi, whose set will begin at 7 pm.
The playlist will feature Halloween-inspired tracks and music associated with different generations.
Saturday will also include tournaments featuring popular collectible card games such as Disney Lorcana and Magic: The Gathering.
The organisers will announce the exact tournament schedules through the event's social media channels.
Sunday, November 1: Pokémon cards, football stickers and collectible swaps
The second day will place particular emphasis on swapping and exchanging collectibles.
On Sunday, November 1, from 12 pm to 4 pm, the fair will host a large gathering dedicated to trading stickers and collectible cards.
Fans of football, Pokémon, Stranger Things, K-Pop, Lorcana, One Piece and other collections will be welcome to participate.
The event will provide an opportunity to find missing items, exchange duplicates and meet fellow collectors.
Free football sticker packs for the first 25 participants
The organisers have announced a special incentive for early arrivals.
The first 25 participants who bring their sticker albums to the exchange will receive two free LaLiga Este sticker packs, subject to the conditions announced for the activity.
The giveaway will be limited to those first 25 participants.
Puzzle and Parchís championships with advance registration
Sunday's programme will also feature two competitions dedicated to traditional games.

The Toy and Collectors' Fair offers something different by combining a specialist market, exhibitions, traditional games and children's entertainment.
