Besmaya Headlines Marbepop’s 40th-Anniversary Festival in Marbella
Marbella’s Parque de la Represa will become an open-air music venue on Saturday 24 October for the 40th anniversary of Marbepop. Besmaya, Las Dianas, La Leshe que Mamate, Poorhouse Rockers and several emerging local artists will perform from 4:00 p.m.
An Afternoon of Live Music in Central Marbella
One of Marbella’s longest-running music events returns on 24 October with a programme spanning several generations and musical styles.
Marbepop was postponed because of the weather forecast but has now been rescheduled at Parque de la Represa. The concerts will begin at 4:00 p.m.
The anniversary edition will bring together indie pop, alternative rock, ska, rap, trap and contemporary urban music.
Besmaya Joins the Revised Line-up
Besmaya is the main addition to the rescheduled festival and replaces Malmö 040 as the headline act.
The duo’s combination of modern Spanish pop and electronic production will give the programme a contemporary focus. Las Dianas will add an alternative pop and rock sound to the event.
A Link with Marbepop’s Early Years
The programme will also revisit the festival’s origins through the return of Marbella group La Leshe que Mamate.
Performing alongside Poorhouse Rockers, the band will bring ska and upbeat rhythms to one of the anniversary’s most symbolic concerts.
Their participation connects Marbepop’s earliest period with the musicians and audiences discovering the festival today.
Marbella’s Emerging Urban Music Scene
Local performers will occupy a prominent place in the programme.
Hako, Klimax, Hizox, Aigy and Ñeco will represent Marbella’s growing rap, trap and urban music scene. San Pedro Alcántara group Benjamín Paco has also joined the revised line-up, replacing Skabum.
Marbepop will therefore provide a valuable platform for performers who frequently develop and distribute their music through independent venues and digital channels.

Charity eco-cups to support Triple A
The anniversary will also have a charitable aspect. During the festival, eco-cups will be distributed, with the proceeds going to Triple A, a Marbella-based charity dedicated to rescuing, protecting and finding homes for abandoned animals.
This initiative will enable people to support the charity simply by making purchases during the music festival.
A festival with four decades of history
Marbepop began as part of the cultural scene for young people in Marbella. From its very first editions, the event was conceived as a platform where local bands could showcase their work and share the stage with musicians from other parts of Spain.
Its return in 2026 revives that philosophy: to give visibility to local talent whilst still incorporating artists capable of attracting a wider audience.
The Parque de la Represa, situated just a few minutes from the old town, will once again serve as one of Marbella’s major venues for concerts and public celebrations.
