Halloween in Benalmádena 2026: children’s parties, parades and horror attractions
Benalmádena Pueblo and Arroyo de la Miel will celebrate Halloween with children’s activities, a batucada parade, haunted attractions and a major horror experience continuing through the weekend.
Benalmádena is preparing for one of the spookiest nights of the year with a Halloween programme spread across Benalmádena Pueblo and Arroyo de la Miel. On 31 October 2026, streets and squares across the municipality will host children’s parties, storytelling, competitions, music, parades and different horror experiences aimed at a wide range of ages.
The celebrations will not end on Halloween night. In Arroyo de la Miel, the horror attraction ‘El Monasterio’ will also remain open on 1 November, while an adapted session for people with disabilities will take place on 2 November.
Halloween begins in Benalmádena Pueblo at 6:00 pm
The first activities on 31 October will be aimed mainly at families.
From 6:00 pm, Plaza de las Tres Culturas will host a children’s party with storytelling and competitions.
It will mark the beginning of an evening that will gradually become more atmospheric and intense as night falls.
The municipal programme is designed to offer family-friendly activities first, while leaving the more frightening attractions for later in the evening.
A batucada parade will make its way through the town
At 8:00 pm, one of the liveliest moments of the evening will begin.
A street parade accompanied by a batucada will set off from Plaza de las Tres Culturas and make its way through different streets in Benalmádena Pueblo.
Costumes, music and Halloween-themed characters will turn the historic centre into part of the spectacle.
The parade will also help connect the children’s activities with the different horror attractions planned for later in the evening.
‘Los Páez’ House of Terror will stay open until 2:00 am
Those looking for a more intense experience can visit the ‘Los Páez’ House of Terror.
The attraction will be located on Avenida Juan Luis Peralta, next to Benalmádena Town Hall.
It will open at 7:00 pm and remain running until 2:00 am.
It is expected to become one of the main attractions of the Halloween night programme in Benalmádena Pueblo.
Horror corners throughout the historic centre
The celebration will also spread through different streets and squares.
Between 9:00 pm and 1:00 am, several ‘Horror Corners’ will be set up around the old town.
These themed spaces will be located near Plaza de Andalucía and Calle Maestra Ayala.
The idea is to create a route where visitors come across different scenes and spooky settings while walking through Benalmádena Pueblo.
A Halloween route through Benalmádena Pueblo
The distribution of activities will make it easy to explore much of the historic centre during the evening.
Families can begin at Plaza de las Tres Culturas with the children’s party and then continue with the parade.
As the night progresses, the House of Terror and the Horror Corners will take on a bigger role.
Rather than concentrating everything in one venue, the programme will turn several parts of the town centre into different Halloween spaces.
Arroyo de la Miel gets its own major horror attraction
The other major part of the Halloween programme will take place in Arroyo de la Miel.
Plaza de la Mezquita will be transformed for two nights to host the horror attraction ‘El Monasterio’.
The experience is presented under the slogan ‘Even faith can be hell’, suggesting a monastery-inspired setting with a dark and unsettling atmosphere.
The attraction will be open on both 31 October and 1 November.
El Monasterio will remain open until 2:00 am
On both nights, opening hours will be from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am.
Admission will cost €2.50 per person.
Plaza de la Mezquita has already established itself as one of the main Halloween venues in Arroyo de la Miel, with large themed horror attractions and night-time events held there in previous years.
Halloween continues on 1 November
One of the advantages of this year’s programme is that the main Arroyo de la Miel horror attraction will not be limited to 31 October.
Anyone unable to attend on Halloween night will have a second opportunity on Sunday 1 November, again from 7:00 pm until 2:00 am.
This should help spread attendance across two nights and make the attraction accessible to more residents and visitors.
Special adapted session for people with disabilities
The programme will once again include an inclusive session.
On Monday 2 November, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, El Monasterio will offer a specially adapted session for people with disabilities.
The aim is to allow visitors to enjoy the attraction in an environment adapted to their needs, reducing elements that could otherwise make the experience too intense or difficult.
Benalmádena has included adapted Halloween sessions in previous years, making this a recurring part of the municipal programme.
Activities for different age groups
One of the key strengths of the programme is its variety.
Early evening activities are aimed mainly at children and families, while later events are designed for those looking for a more intense horror experience.
The programme includes:
- children’s party;
- storytelling;
- competitions;
- street parade;
- batucada;
- haunted house;
- themed horror scenes;
- horror attraction.
This means visitors can choose the kind of Halloween experience that best suits their age and preferences.
Halloween is now a regular fixture in Benalmádena
Halloween has become an established date on Benalmádena’s annual events calendar.
The Municipal Festivities Department officially includes Halloween in Arroyo de la Miel on 31 October and 1 November, as well as Halloween in Benalmádena Pueblo on 31 October.
In previous editions, Plaza de la Mezquita has been transformed into different themed horror settings, helping the event gain popularity among both residents and visitors.
A good option for visitors on the Costa del Sol
Halloween also arrives at a time of year when the Costa del Sol continues to attract large numbers of visitors.
Benalmádena combines these activities with its usual restaurant and leisure options across Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmádena Pueblo and the coast.
For anyone staying in the area, the Halloween programme offers a different night-time plan beyond the usual beach and seafront activities.

Benalmádena Pueblo will focus on street activities, family events and horror spaces spread around the historic centre.
Arroyo de la Miel will have El Monasterio in Plaza de la Mezquita as its main attraction.
With events running late into the night and activities spread over several days, the municipality is preparing one of the most complete Halloween programmes on the Costa del Sol.
