Cinema Festival returns to Málaga with €3.50 tickets from 19 to 22 October

Going to the cinema will be cheaper in Málaga for four days this October. The Fiesta del Cine returns with tickets priced at just €3.50 at participating cinemas across the province.

The promotion will run from Monday 19 to Thursday 22 October 2026, allowing audiences to watch films currently showing at participating venues for a reduced price.

A total of 13 cinemas in Málaga province are taking part in this autumn edition.

When is the Fiesta del Cine taking place in Málaga?

The promotion will be available for four consecutive days:

• Monday 19 October
• Tuesday 20 October
• Wednesday 21 October
• Thursday 22 October

During these dates, the standard ticket price will be €3.50 when purchased at the box office.

For online purchases or cinema ticket machines, individual platforms may apply their own fees or supplements.

No registration is required

One of the main differences compared with earlier editions of the Fiesta del Cine is that advance registration is no longer required.

There is no need to sign up on a website or present a special accreditation to benefit from the offer.

Cinema-goers simply need to choose a film at one of the participating venues and buy a ticket for a screening taking place between 19 and 22 October.

Which films can you watch for €3.50?

The offer applies to films included in the regular programme at each participating cinema.

This means the exact selection will depend on the listings at each venue.

Audiences will be able to choose from major commercial releases, Spanish films, animation and other titles currently showing.

The organisers recommend checking each cinema’s listings in advance to confirm screening times and availability.

The 13 participating cinemas in Málaga province

The Fiesta del Cine will be available across several parts of the province.

These are the participating venues:

• Cine Pixel, Coín
• MK2 Cinesur Miramar, Fuengirola
• Multicines Alfil, Fuengirola
• MK2 Cinesur Málaga Nostrum, Málaga city
• UCC Multicines Rosaleda, Málaga city
• Cine Yelmo Plaza Mayor, Málaga city
• Cine Yelmo Vialia, Málaga city
• Kinépolis La Cañada, Marbella
• Red Dog Banús, Marbella
• Cine Yelmo Rincón de la Victoria, Rincón de la Victoria
• Multicines Ronda, Ronda
• MK2 Cinesur El Ingenio, Vélez-Málaga

The promotion will therefore be available both in the capital and in towns along the Costa del Sol and inland Málaga.

Four options in Málaga city

Anyone living in Málaga city will have four participating cinema complexes to choose from.

These are MK2 Cinesur Málaga Nostrum, Multicines Rosaleda, Yelmo Plaza Mayor and Yelmo Vialia.

The different locations make it possible to choose between cinemas near the city centre, María Zambrano station, Plaza Mayor or western Málaga.

Two participating cinemas in Marbella

The western Costa del Sol will also have several options.

In Marbella, both Kinépolis La Cañada and Red Dog Banús are taking part.

Fuengirola will also have two participating venues: MK2 Cinesur Miramar and Multicines Alfil.

This means residents in these areas can take advantage of the offer without travelling into Málaga city.

Are there supplements for special screenings?

The €3.50 price applies to a standard ticket bought at the box office.

However, some experiences may cost extra.

3D screenings, VIP rooms, premium seating, special formats and certain events may include additional charges depending on the cinema.

It is therefore worth checking the final price before completing the purchase.

Can you buy more than one ticket?

There is no special limit on the number of tickets each person can buy at the box office.

Purchases work in the same way as on a normal cinema day, so one person can buy several tickets for different people or screenings.

Tickets can also be purchased in advance through the official websites of participating cinemas.

Tickets are already on sale

According to the organisers, tickets for this edition of the Fiesta del Cine have been available since Wednesday 14 October.

They can be purchased:

• at cinema box offices;
• through cinema websites;
• from ticket machines available at some venues.

For the most popular sessions, buying in advance may be especially useful.

The Bono Cultural Joven can be used

Young people with Spain’s Bono Cultural Joven will be able to use it to buy tickets during the Fiesta del Cine.

However, the promotion cannot normally be combined with other discounts, such as youth cards, senior rates or other commercial offers.

Nearly two decades encouraging cinema attendance

The Fiesta del Cine was launched in Spain in 2009.

During its first years, it was held once a year, but since 2014 it has generally taken place twice annually, with one edition in spring and another in autumn.

The initiative aims to encourage more people to visit cinemas by temporarily reducing ticket prices.

Alauda Ruiz de Azúa and Álvaro Cervantes are the 2026 ambassadors

The 2026 edition has two well-known figures from Spanish cinema as ambassadors.

Director Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, a Goya winner with strong links to the Málaga Film Festival, is one of this year’s representatives.

She is joined by actor Álvaro Cervantes, who has built a successful career in film and television and has also received recognition at the Málaga Film Festival.

A good opportunity to return to the cinema
