Candlelight in Málaga in September 2026: remaining dates and concerts from 8 September onwards

Candlelight concerts continue in Málaga throughout September, offering several opportunities for anyone looking for a different evening plan before the end of the month.

From Tuesday, 8 September 2026 onwards, the programme still includes concerts on 10, 13 and 20 September, all taking place in one of the city’s most elegant venues: the Royal Hall at the Gran Hotel Miramar.

The remaining programme combines Disney soundtracks and love songs with tributes to Mecano and some of the biggest international hits of the 1980s, all reinterpreted in a classical format and surrounded by thousands of candles.

10 September: Disney’s greatest love songs

The first date will be Thursday, 10 September, with Candlelight: Disney Love Songs.

There will be two performances, at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, in the Royal Hall at the Gran Hotel Miramar.

A string quartet will perform some of the most recognisable romantic melodies from Disney films.

The programme includes music from films such as The Lion King, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Hercules, Coco, Encanto, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Tarzan, Tangled and Up.

Songs expected in the programme include “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”, “Remember Me”, “A Whole New World”, “Kiss the Girl”, “You’ll Be in My Heart” and “I See the Light”.

The concert lasts approximately 60 minutes, with doors opening 45 minutes before the performance. The minimum age is 5, while under-16s must attend with an adult.

13 September: Mecano and the best of the 80s

Sunday, 13 September will bring two different Candlelight experiences to the Hotel Miramar.

The first is Candlelight: Tribute to Mecano, dedicated to one of the most influential groups in Spanish pop music.

Tickets for the September performance currently appear to be sold out, although the tribute is scheduled to return to Málaga on later dates.

Later that evening, at 9:00 pm, the venue will host Candlelight: The Best of the 80s.

This concert shifts the focus to some of the biggest pop and rock anthems of the decade, reworked in the intimate classical style that has become the hallmark of Candlelight.

20 September: another chance to enjoy Disney by candlelight

Anyone unable to attend the Disney concert on 10 September will have another opportunity later in the month.

Candlelight: Disney Love Songs returns on Sunday, 20 September, once again with performances at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm.

It is currently the final Candlelight date scheduled in Málaga during September before the programme continues into October with further tributes and themed concerts.

Gran Hotel Miramar hosts the final September concerts

All the remaining September performances will take place in the Royal Hall of the Gran Hotel Miramar, located at Paseo de Reding, 22-24, close to La Malagueta.

For Candlelight events, the room is transformed with the series’ signature candlelit setting, creating a more intimate atmosphere for familiar music.

Concerts last approximately one hour, and seating within each ticket category is generally allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Visitors are advised to arrive early, as late entry is not usually permitted once the performance has started.

A different evening plan in Málaga this September

Disney offers a nostalgic and family-friendly option, the 1980s provide a journey back to one of pop music’s most recognisable decades, while Mecano remains one of the strongest choices for fans of Spanish music.

The second half of September therefore offers several opportunities to experience Candlelight without leaving central Málaga.

Availability and ticket prices vary depending on the performance and seating area, and some sessions can sell out quickly, as has already happened with the Mecano tribute on 13 September.
