San Pedro Alcántara Feria Returns with Camela, Pasión Vega, OBK and Modestia Aparte
La Caridad fairground will host seven days of celebrations from 13 to 19 October, featuring concerts, rides, food stalls, children’s activities, equestrian traditions and inclusive sessions. The programme will begin with a parade, the official lights switch-on and a firework display.
Seven Days of Celebrations in San Pedro Alcántara
San Pedro Alcántara will celebrate its 2026 Feria and festivities from Tuesday 13 to Monday 19 October. La Caridad fairground will once again host much of a programme designed for visitors of different ages.
The opening day will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the traditional parade of giants and big-headed figures through the town’s streets. A floral offering to the patron saint will take place in Plaza de la Iglesia at 7:00 p.m.
The official lights will be switched on at the fairground at 9:00 p.m., accompanied by the Carácter Mediterráneo firework display. The opening speech and ceremonial crowning events will follow at the Palenque Municipal.
Concerts by National Artists
The music programme will feature three major nights at the fairground auditorium. OBK and Modestia Aparte will perform on Friday 16 October at 11:00 p.m.
Pasión Vega will take to the stage on Saturday 17 at 9:00 p.m., while Camela will perform on Sunday 18 at 11:00 p.m. Admission will be free until the venue reaches capacity.
The feria will also feature local artists, dance academies, an eighties-themed music night, a tribute to Andalusian rock groups Triana and Medina Azahara and an event aimed at younger audiences.
Rides, Food Stalls and Children’s Activities
The food and entertainment stalls will open daily from 1:00 p.m., offering dining options, music and dancing throughout the week. Fairground rides will operate during the evenings, with attractions for different age groups.
Wednesday 14 October will be Children’s Day, with special ride prices of €2.50 and €3.50. The same day will also celebrate older residents with lunch and live music.
A children’s party featuring inflatable attractions and workshops will take place on Thursday 15. The feria will end on Monday 19 with another celebration for younger visitors at the Palenque Municipal.
A More Accessible Feria
The programme includes several measures intended to make the celebrations more accessible for people with additional needs. The ride area will operate without music, sirens or flashing lights during designated periods on Wednesday 14 and Friday 16.
Visitors with special needs will receive priority access to the rides to avoid waiting in queues. Sign-language interpretation will also be provided during the opening speech and crowning ceremonies.
Horse Riding and the Patron Saint’s Day
Equestrian traditions will return with horse riding around the fairground from Wednesday to Saturday. Several competitions and exhibitions will also take place.
Monday 19 October, the feast day of San Pedro de Alcántara, will begin with religious events honouring the patron saint. A solemn Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., followed by a procession through the town from noon, accompanied by the Ramón Mayén Music Band.
A traditional horse-decoration competition will also take place that day, with awards for horses, riders and decorated harnesses.
