Consum to open a new supermarket in Alhaurín de la Torre at the former Mercadona site on Calle San Juan

Alhaurín de la Torre town centre is set to recover one of its most important retail spaces. Consum will open a new supermarket in the former Mercadona premises on Calle San Juan, a unit that has remained closed since summer 2025.

The company is also pursuing a wider national growth strategy, with 18 new company-owned supermarkets planned during 2026.

The future Alhaurín de la Torre store therefore represents another step in that expansion, although details such as the final retail area, staffing levels, services and opening date have not yet been made public.
