El Desembarco, la traición de Viriato recreates one of Málaga’s most dramatic historical episodes: General José María Torrijos’ failed 1831 uprising against the absolutist regime of Ferdinand VII.
Six actors, a live singer and flamenco guitar combine historical theatre, song and dance to tell the story of the landing, betrayal, capture and execution of Torrijos and his companions.
Lucía Cordero plays Luisa Sáez, the general’s widow and the woman who helped preserve the memory of those who died for their ideals.
