School and university transport in Marbella 2026/2027: final lists, requirements and what to do if you still need a place

Marbella’s municipal school and university transport service has now allocated places for the 2026/2027 academic year. Following the application period in August and the publication of provisional lists, the Town Hall has released the final lists for both school and university students.

Can you still apply after 31 August?

Yes, but there is an important condition.

The standard application period has now closed, and Marbella Town Hall states that applications submitted after 31 August will only be considered where places are still available.

During the regular application period, places were allocated in strict order of application.

Families or students who now need the service should therefore contact the municipal Transport Department to check whether there are still places available on the route they require.

What documents are required?

The required documentation mainly relates to the identity of the account holder and the bank account used for payment.

Marbella Town Hall requires the DNI or NIE of the bank account holder, together with a certificate confirming the bank account details.

Where applicable, large families must also provide the relevant documentation, including a valid large-family certificate and card.

In-person applications require an appointment

Anyone who needs to complete procedures in person should keep another requirement in mind: an appointment is necessary.
