Villa Bellagio in Marbella: inside the €70 million home leading Spain’s luxury property market

Marbella has once again reached the top of Spain’s luxury property market. A villa located on the exclusive Golden Mile leads the 2026 ranking of the most expensive homes currently for sale in the country, with an asking price of €70 million.

The property is Villa Bellagio, a residence designed almost like a private resort and one that stands out even in a market accustomed to multimillion-euro listings.

The villa has 13 bedrooms and sits on a plot of around 14,000 square metres, placing it firmly within the ultra-prime segment of the Spanish property market.

A €70 million villa with hotel-style facilities

Size is only part of what makes Villa Bellagio exceptional.

The property includes a range of leisure and wellness facilities, including several swimming pools, a gym, sauna, bar, bowling alley and private cinema.

Together, these spaces create a home where entertainment, relaxation and fitness can all be enjoyed without leaving the estate.

Its €70 million price tag also puts it well ahead of the second property in the ranking.

Marbella leads Mallorca by €24 million

Spain’s second most expensive home is located in Pollença, Mallorca, with an asking price of €46 million.

The coastal residence has 11 bedrooms and direct access to the sea, but still sits €24 million below Villa Bellagio.

Third place also goes to Mallorca, where Villa Solitaire in Palma is on the market for €39.5 million. Designed by architect Matteo Thun, the property includes seven bedrooms, two outdoor pools, a rooftop Jacuzzi and an open-air cinema.

The gap between the top positions highlights just how exceptional Villa Bellagio is, even within Spain’s highest-end residential market.

Benahavís also features among Spain’s most expensive homes

Marbella is not the only Costa del Sol destination represented near the top of the list.

In fourth place is La Madrugada, a Hispano-Arabic-style estate in Benahavís priced at €34 million. The property has 17 bedrooms and views across both the mountains and the Mediterranean.

Another Benahavís residence appears in seventh place, valued at €27 million and offering around 2,200 square metres of living space.

That means three of Spain’s ten most expensive homes are located in Málaga province: two in Benahavís and the country’s number-one property in Marbella.

One of the most striking aspects of the ranking is its geographical concentration.

All ten of the most expensive homes currently for sale in Spain are located either on the Costa del Sol or in Mallorca.

Alongside Marbella, Pollença, Palma and Benahavís, the list includes properties in Mallorcan locations such as Puigpunyent, Esporles and Calvià.

Even the tenth property on the list has an asking price of €24.5 million, showing the scale of the market at the very top end.

Marbella strengthens its position in the ultra-luxury market

Villa Bellagio’s position comes as Marbella, Estepona and Benahavís continue to establish themselves among Spain’s leading destinations for international buyers looking for multimillion-euro homes.

In Marbella in particular, luxury villas, gated communities, proximity to the Mediterranean and high-end services have helped create a residential market capable of competing with some of Europe’s best-known luxury destinations.

Villa Bellagio represents the most exclusive end of that market: €70 million for a single property, currently making it the most expensive home for sale in Spain.
