Concerts in Málaga from 24 to 30 August: Gloria Trevi, Nile Rodgers, Love of Lesbian, Los Chunguitos and three days of rock in Fuengirola

August is entering its final stretch, but the concert calendar in Málaga and across the Costa del Sol is still delivering some of the biggest live shows of the summer. Between Monday 24 and Sunday 30 August 2026, Marbella, Fuengirola and Málaga city will host everything from Latin pop and disco to indie, rumba, rock and metal.

Gloria Trevi, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Love of Lesbian and Los Chunguitos are among the main names appearing this week. They are joined by Sun & Thunder 26, which will turn Marenostrum Fuengirola into one of the main meeting points for rock and metal fans over three consecutive days.

Here is the key concert agenda for the week.

Monday 24 August: Gloria Trevi at Starlite Marbella

The week begins with one of the biggest names in Latin pop.

Gloria Trevi will perform at Starlite Occident Marbella on 24 August, in what is also her only European concert of the season.

The Mexican artist arrives at the Cantera de Nagüeles with a career spanning more than three decades and a catalogue that includes well-known songs such as Pelo Suelto, Todos Me Miran, Doctor Psiquiatra and El Recuento de los Daños.

Doors open at 8pm, with the concert scheduled to begin at 10pm.

Wednesday 26 August: Nile Rodgers & CHIC bring funk and disco to Marbella

Starlite switches musical direction completely on Wednesday 26 August.

That night belongs to Nile Rodgers & CHIC, one of the most influential names in disco, funk and dance music.

Rodgers is not only behind CHIC classics such as Le Freak and Good Times. His work as a songwriter and producer is also closely linked to artists including David Bowie, Madonna, Duran Duran, Daft Punk and Beyoncé.

Doors at the Starlite Auditorium open at 8pm, with the show starting at 10pm.

Thursday 27 to Saturday 29: three days of rock and metal at Sun & Thunder 26

Fuengirola takes over much of the musical spotlight in the second half of the week.

Sun & Thunder 26 will take place at Marenostrum Fuengirola on 27, 28 and 29 August, offering three consecutive days focused mainly on rock and metal.

The festival returns with a larger programme and a format designed to keep live music running throughout the afternoon and evening beside the Mediterranean and Sohail Castle.

Doors are scheduled to open at 4.30pm, with performances beginning from 5pm.

Weekend passes currently start from €165, including taxes and fees. Children up to the age of 13 can enter free of charge, while specific accompaniment and authorisation rules apply to younger visitors.

Saturday 29 August: Love of Lesbian make their Starlite debut

Saturday will be the most varied day of the week.

In Marbella, Love of Lesbian will perform at Starlite Occident for the first time.

The band has become one of the key names in Spanish indie and alternative pop-rock, building a career of more than 25 years and connecting with several generations of listeners.

Their Marbella show will also feature material from Ejército de salvación, alongside some of the songs that have defined their career.

Doors open at 8pm, with the concert beginning at 10pm.

Los Chunguitos bring their reunion show to Málaga

Also on Saturday 29 August, but this time in Málaga city, the programme changes direction again.

Los Chunguitos will perform their El reencuentro 50 + 1 show at Málaga Forum, celebrating one of the most recognisable groups in Spanish rumba.

The event is scheduled to begin from 7pm and will revisit songs closely associated with decades of Spanish popular music.

It offers a very different option from the indie sound in Marbella or the rock taking over Fuengirola that same night.

Alvama Ice show on 29 August is cancelled

There is also one important change to the original programme.

Kream by Alvama Ice, which had been scheduled for Saturday 29 August at the Auditorio Municipal Cortijo de Torres in Málaga, is now listed as cancelled.

The event had originally been due to begin at 8pm, but it should no longer be considered part of this weekend’s available plans.

Variety is what defines this final week of August.

Marbella brings together three very different shows: Gloria Trevi, the timeless disco and funk of Nile Rodgers & CHIC, and the indie sound of Love of Lesbian.

Fuengirola will focus on three consecutive days of Sun & Thunder, while Málaga city welcomes the classic rumba sound of Los Chunguitos.

It is a final full week of August that shows the Costa del Sol’s major summer concert season is still far from over.
