Casares gets ready for its Fair with music, tradition and activities for all audiences
The municipality’s big week will officially begin this Thursday, with Merche, No Me Pises Que Llevo Chanclas, Jay Torres and Kevin Bury among the main names on the programme.
Casares is preparing to celebrate one of the most eagerly awaited events on its summer calendar. The municipality is already decorated with fair lights and festive garlands to welcome its Fair, a week of community spirit, tradition, music and activities designed for all ages.
The programme brings together family-friendly events, live music, themed parties, entertainment shows and traditional moments that will once again fill the village streets with atmosphere. Among the headline names are Merche, No Me Pises Que Llevo Chanclas, Jay Torres and Kevin Bury.
Pre-fair events with seniors, dance and Children’s Day
Before the official opening, Casares will enjoy several pre-fair days. The programme begins with the traditional Senior Citizens’ Party, an emotional evening featuring a concert by Las Carlotas and a tribute to two much-loved local residents, Maribel and Antonio, in recognition of their connection with the town.
The activities will continue with the Municipal Dance School festival, while Wednesday will bring one of the most anticipated moments for families: Children’s Day, with a water party, foam party and special prices on the fairground rides. The day will end with a concert by No Me Pises Que Llevo Chanclas, known for songs such as Bolillón and ¿Y tú de quién eres?.
Official opening and four days of fair
The Casares Fair will officially begin on Thursday with the traditional parade and coronation ceremony, which will mark the start of four days of celebration. The main square will once again become one of the main meeting points, with the orchestras Sugar and Dynamic providing music and dancing during the fair nights.
The festive atmosphere will spread across different areas of the municipality, with a programme designed to attract both residents and visitors who want to enjoy Casares’ traditions during the summer season.
Concerts in the Llano area
The Llano area will host some of the most anticipated concerts on the programme. On Friday, Jay Torres and Kevin Bury will take to the stage, while on Saturday singer Merche will perform a live show featuring some of her greatest hits.
These concerts will be joined by entertainment shows, themed parties, music for all audiences and various surprises that complete an especially lively agenda.
Rociero Sunday to close the week
The programme will conclude with Rociero Sunday, a day of celebration and community spirit that will bring the Fair to a close. The atmosphere will be accompanied by the groups A Compás and D’Repente Flamenco, who will add the most traditional and festive touch to the final day.
With this programme, Casares once again reinforces the role of its fair as one of the liveliest summer events on the western Costa del Sol, combining music, popular tradition and a family-friendly atmosphere.
