La Cala de Mijas Fair Returns from 21 to 26 July with Melody, Nancys Rubias and Sergio Contreras
The programme includes six days of concerts, daytime festivities, children’s activities, a horseback parade and a water party.
La Cala de Mijas will celebrate its annual fair from 21 to 26 July 2026 with a programme designed for all ages. The fairground and the area around the Torreón will host concerts, children’s entertainment, activities for older residents and traditional events.
Artists performing at the municipal marquee will include Melody, Nancys Rubias, Sergio Contreras, Las Rodes and Malamanera, alongside musical shows and tribute acts.
21 July: Opening Speech, Lights and Children’s Day
The fair will begin on Tuesday 21 July with the official opening speech at 9:00 p.m. The artistic lighting of the fairground will be switched on at 10:30 p.m.
The opening day will also be Children’s Day, with reduced prices on the fairground rides. The evening will close with Mecamela, a tribute act dedicated to Camela.
22 July: Tribute to Older Residents and Sevillanas
Wednesday’s programme will focus particularly on the municipality’s older residents. It will include a special dinner and the presentation of the Fair Grandfather and Grandmother awards.
From 11:30 p.m., the stage will host Mujeres por Sevillanas, featuring María de la Colina, Las Soles and Las Carlotas.
23 July: Activities for Children
Children will take centre stage on Thursday 23 July. The programme will include the selection of the children’s King and Queen from among those registered in advance.
At 9:30 p.m., the Las Guerreras del K-Pop children’s show will begin. From 11:00 p.m., the Playstar Party will bring back popular songs and rhythms from the 1980s and 1990s.
24 July: The Daytime Fair Begins
The Daytime Fair will officially open on Friday 24 July at 2:00 p.m. around the Torreón de La Cala. There will be a bar, live music and supervised children’s play areas from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
In the evening, Malamanera will perform at 10:30 p.m. in the municipal marquee. At midnight, Nancys Rubias will take to the stage for one of the most eagerly awaited concerts of the programme.
25 July: Horseback Parade and Sergio Contreras
The Daytime Fair will continue on Saturday with music and activities around the Torreón.
At 8:00 p.m., a horseback parade will depart from El Chaparral school. The evening’s musical programme will feature Las Rodes and Sergio Contreras.
26 July: Water Party and Melody Concert
The final day will begin at 12:00 noon with a water party. The Daytime Fair will continue throughout the afternoon with live music.
The celebrations will close at 11:00 p.m. with a concert by Melody in the municipal marquee, bringing six days of festivities to an end.
Claudia Mendo Features on the Official Poster
This year’s poster features local resident Claudia Mendo, the current Queen of La Cala Fair, who received the title in 2025.
The photograph was taken along the Coastal Path and aims to reflect the connection between the fair, the landscape and the coastal identity of La Cala de Mijas.
