Marenostrum Fuengirola Brings Back Its Free Summer Cinema with Four Films

Summer evenings will once again be filled with cinema at Marenostrum Fuengirola. The venue will host four free screenings on 21 and 22 July and 11 and 12 August 2026, with a programme aimed mainly at families.

Doors will open at 9:00 p.m., and the films will begin at 10:00 p.m. Admission will be free until full capacity is reached.

Four Films Chosen by the Public

This year’s programme was selected through a vote organised by Miramar Shopping Centre. Participants were able to choose their favourite films from eight different options.

The four most popular titles were:

21 July: How to Train Your Dragon
22 July: Sonic the Hedgehog 3
11 August: The Bad Guys 2
12 August: Wicked

The selection combines adventure, animation, comedy and music, offering options for different age groups.

Cinema Under the Stars by the Sea

Visitors will be able to watch the films from the venue’s stands or bring their own chair or beach towel.

The initiative offers the chance to enjoy outdoor cinema at one of Fuengirola’s main cultural venues. The programme is organised by Miramar Shopping Centre in partnership with Fuengirola Town Council and has been part of the municipality’s summer entertainment offer for more than a decade.

A Programme with a Charitable Purpose

Food and drink bars will be available during all four screenings, with proceeds donated to the Spanish Association Against Cancer —AECC— and the Association of Relatives of People with Alzheimer’s —AFA—.

The summer cinema therefore combines family entertainment with social action, allowing visitors to support both organisations while enjoying the films.
