The 'Formula 1' team from Ronda qualifies for the international final of Stem Racing

The 'Formula 1' team from Ronda, Galmax GT, composed of students from IES Rodríguez Delgado, finished third in the national final of Stem Racing and has qualified to participate in the international final that will be held in Singapore. The team from Ronda reached the Spanish final as the champion of Andalusia.

This championship for students involves the recreation of a small-scale Formula 1 team. It includes the design, development, and manufacturing of the single-seater. Additionally, they also have to find sponsors to finance the team, manage their social media, and present their development to the jury.

Moreover, the car must be fast, as the purpose of its construction is to compete in races and win on a straight track of 25 meters. These races measure the reaction speed after the green light and the time it takes the car to travel the set distance.

The team from Ronda has not stopped developing their car and went to Madrid with a new single-seater in an attempt to improve the qualities of the car with which they won the Andalusian victory by milliseconds.

Additionally, the Formula cars must comply with their respective technical code and must pass the corresponding controls to verify that they meet the regulations.

The team from Ronda had to compete in different aspects during the last two days to achieve a great goal that many considered very complicated, but in which its members always believed, even before proclaiming themselves winners of the Andalusian phase.

Now begins a new phase of preparation for the international final that will take place at the end of September. A competition they will attend along with teams from Madrid and Granada who have accompanied them on this podium.

Relatives and friends traveled to Madrid to support them in this competition, along with the project's responsible teacher, Larisa Yopis, who has already expressed satisfaction with her students' work.
