Bruno Mars Ends a Decade Without a Solo Album with 'The Romantic'
The multiple Grammy-winning artist confirms the release of his first solo album since '24K Magic' and reveals tour dates for 2026, including Spain.
After a ten-year hiatus, Bruno Mars returns to his solo music career. The Hawaiian singer-songwriter, whose last personal work was the acclaimed '24K Magic' (2016), has confirmed the release of his new album titled 'The Romantic' for February 27, 2026, ending a decade without releasing his own album since his third production swept the industry with six Grammy awards.
The artist initially announced on his X account last week that the album was finished, generating excitement among his millions of followers. It wasn't until this Thursday that he shook social media with a broader official announcement: new music this Friday, along with news of 'The Romantic Tour,' an international tour that will feature collaborations with his trusted partner, Anderson .Paak, with whom he also formed the duo Silk Sonic, and other guest artists.
'The Romantic Tour' is set to kick off in the United States on April 10, 2026, with an opening concert in Las Vegas, and will include multiple dates across North America and Europe, including a show in Spain on July 10, 2026. The lineup features collaborations with artists like Leon Thomas, DJ Pee, and Victoria Monét. These dates are part of the artist's most ambitious tour plans since his '24K Magic World Tour,' launched in 2017.
Although Bruno Mars has remained active on stage over these years, filling stadiums and arenas around the world and even selling out venues in countries like Brazil, Mexico, and Japan, 'The Romantic' will mark his return to solo recording, a milestone that many fans believed was almost impossible after so much time.
A Decade of Collaborations
Over the last decade, Bruno Mars has maintained his presence in music through high-impact collaborations, like 'Die with a Smile' with Lady Gaga, which topped Spotify and Billboard charts, and 'APT.' with Rosé from Blackpink, a song with Korean cultural references that had significant international impact.
The most notable phase came along with Anderson .Paak with Silk Sonic, a project born after meeting on the '24K Magic' tour. From that partnership came 'An Evening with Silk Sonic' (2021) and the hit 'Leave the Door Open,' which won them four Grammy awards.
Now, with 'The Romantic,' Bruno Mars presents his fourth studio album and reaffirms a career marked by precision and efficiency. With just three solo albums to date, the artist has accumulated 15 Grammy awards, several diamond certifications, and a flawless trajectory, establishing himself as one of the most solid and reliable names in current music.
