Nagüeles Park will host one of Marbella’s most traditional autumn celebrations on Sunday, November 1, featuring children’s entertainment, bouncy castles and a charity bar
The smell of roasted chestnuts will return to Nagüeles Park this Sunday. Marbella will celebrate another edition of its traditional Tostón on November 1, bringing families and friends together to enjoy the autumn outdoors and take part in one of the area's most cherished seasonal traditions.
The event will begin at 12:30 pm, with a programme combining music, children's activities and the much-anticipated distribution of roasted chestnuts during the afternoon.
Marbella’s Tostón will begin at 12:30 pm in Nagüeles Park
Nagüeles Park will once again be the main setting for this traditional celebration.
From midday onwards, visitors will find activities suitable for all ages, although much of the programme will be particularly aimed at younger children.
Children’s entertainment, bouncy castles and music
Families can enjoy children's entertainment and bouncy castles, while music throughout the day will help create the festive atmosphere that makes this autumn gathering so popular.
The aim is to offer more than just the traditional roasted chestnuts, turning the celebration into an opportunity for families and friends to spend time together outdoors.
Free roasted chestnuts will be distributed from 4 pm to 6 pm
One of the highlights of the celebration will take place during the afternoon.
The traditional distribution of roasted chestnuts is scheduled between 4 pm and 6 pm, and is expected to be one of the busiest moments of the day.
Roasted chestnuts are at the heart of the Tostón tradition, which is closely associated with the arrival of November and All Saints' Day in Spain.
A charity bar will support Marbella’s religious brotherhoods
The event will also have a charitable element.
Throughout the celebration, a charity bar will operate, with proceeds going to the Agrupación de Cofradías de Marbella, the association representing the city's religious brotherhoods.
The initiative will help support the organisation's activities in Marbella while adding a charitable purpose to the traditional autumn gathering.
What is Marbella’s Tostón?
The Tostón is one of the Costa del Sol's traditional autumn celebrations, closely linked to the custom of roasting and sharing chestnuts around All Saints' Day.
In Marbella, the event has also become an opportunity for residents and visitors to gather in natural surroundings and enjoy a family day out before winter arrives.
Surrounded by pine trees and located at the foot of Sierra Blanca, Nagüeles Park provides an ideal setting for keeping this tradition alive.
The celebration combines local customs, food and outdoor entertainment, offering visitors a chance to experience a typical Andalusian autumn tradition.
San Pedro Alcántara will also celebrate its own Tostón
Those spending Sunday in San Pedro Alcántara will have another opportunity to join the festivities.
Los Tres Jardines Park will host its own traditional Tostón from 12 pm, organised by the youth group of the Nazareno y Soledad Brotherhood.
This means that both Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara will celebrate the same autumn tradition on November 1, bringing people together to enjoy roasted chestnuts and outdoor activities.
