Málaga Fashion Week turns Calle Larios into a catwalk

One of the biggest events of the weekend in Málaga city will be the 15th Pasarela Larios Málaga Fashion Week, taking over Calle Marqués de Larios on the evenings of Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September.

The shows begin from 8:00 pm and bring together national and international designers, established brands and emerging talent. Names on the programme include Ángel Schlesser, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Jesús Segado, Juan Carlos Armas and Félix Ramiro.

Saturday will also feature the Málaga de Moda Talent and Creativity competition, with 14 emerging designers taking part.

Contemporary theatre at the Soho: ‘¿Tú sabes lo que es una posidonia?’

For those looking for contemporary theatre, Alessandra García presents her latest show, ¿Tú sabes lo que es una posidonia?, at Teatro del Soho CaixaBank.

The production opened on Thursday 24 and runs until Sunday 27 September. The Málaga-born creator presents a highly personal piece exploring her relationship with theatre while moving away from a conventional stage format and making the audience part of the experience.

The Autumn Market is already open at Muelle Uno

The Autumn Market, located by Málaga’s port, is open every day from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm until 9 November.

Free museums for World Tourism Day

Sunday could be one of the best days of the year for visiting museums in Málaga.

To mark World Tourism Day, Málaga City Council has organised a special programme involving 31 museums, exhibition centres and monuments, with open days and different free activities.

The event takes place on Sunday, 27 September and this year focuses on technology and artificial intelligence applied to tourism.

Torremolinos gets into full Feria de San Miguel mode

This Friday marks the official start of the Feria de San Miguel 2026, one of Torremolinos’ biggest annual celebrations.

The programme runs from 25 to 29 September, with daytime activity in the town centre and evening celebrations at the fairground.

Live music, marquees, food and fairground rides will fill five days of festivities following last Sunday’s traditional San Miguel Pilgrimage.

More than 350 Málaga products arrive in La Cala de Mijas

The boulevard in La Cala becomes a showcase for food from across the province with a new edition of Sabor a Málaga.

The event runs from 25 to 27 September and brings together 36 producers from 20 municipalities, with more than 350 artisan products.

Visitors can expect olive oils, goat cheeses, wines, cured meats, sweets, honey, chocolate and craft beer, as well as showcookings, tastings, children’s workshops and live music.

The fair stays open until 9:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and until 8:00 pm on Sunday.

Free theatre all weekend in Mijas Pueblo

Nearby, Mijas Pueblo is celebrating the 40th Villa de Mijas Theatre Festival at the Miguel González Berral Municipal Auditorium.

Shows begin each evening at 9:00 pm and admission is free until capacity is reached.

Triathlon by the sea in La Cala de Mijas

On Sunday, La Cala swaps food for sport for a few hours.

The 5th Villa de Mijas Triathlon will bring together 250 athletes and starts at 9:00 am from El Torreón beach.

The race includes 1,500 metres of swimming, 40 kilometres of cycling to Entrerríos and a 10-kilometre run along the coastal path.

Anyone driving in the area should be aware of traffic restrictions between El Torreón and Entrerríos from roughly 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Estepona closes its Fashion Week at the Orchidarium

The Orchidarium Botanical Park is another major venue this weekend.

The tenth edition of Estepona de Moda continues on Friday and Saturday from 8:00 pm. Local businesses take to the runway on Friday, while Saturday features the 7th Young Designers Competition, with eight finalists from different parts of Spain.

International bands Dr. Feelgood and The Volcanics headline the event, joined by local groups including The Rob Sas Band, The Tragig Company, Crommy, Pantano and Natura.

The programme begins in the afternoon and runs until around midnight. Admission is free, and there will also be bars, a children’s area and a small music-related market.

Ronda says goodbye to ‘Luz y verso’ with its final sessions

This is also the final weekend to experience ‘Luz y verso’ in Ronda.

Plaza Teniente Arce is hosting a large immersive dome until Sunday 27, where images, music, poetry and sensory effects create a journey through several centuries of art history.

The show includes references to Velázquez, El Greco and Goya, alongside texts by writers such as Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Machado and Lorca.

On Saturday, sessions take place at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, while Sunday offers sessions at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Tickets cost €5, with proceeds going to the Ronda Alzheimer’s Association.

Ronda also offers Ronda Flamenca at the Círculo de Artistas on Friday and Saturday at 8:30 pm, with tickets priced at €20.

Almogía celebrates Almond Day

Food takes centre stage again on Sunday 27 September with the 20th edition of Almond Day in Almogía.

The event brings together more than 50 producers and gives visitors the chance to taste and buy almonds, cheeses, wines, cured meats, sweets and artisan breads.

There will also be tastings of fried almonds, sweet wine and ajoblanco, demonstrations of traditional trades linked to almond growing, verdiales music, live performances and activities for children.
