Flamenco in the heart of Ronda

Ronda starts the week with Ronda Flamenca, a show held at the Círculo de Artistas in Plaza del Socorro. Performances are scheduled for 21 and 22 September, returning again from 24 to 26 September, always at 8:30 pm. Tickets cost €20 and can be purchased at the Municipal Tourist Office or directly at the venue.

Also continuing until Sunday 27 is ‘Luz y verso’, a 360-degree immersive experience that combines art, sound and sensory elements in an unusual journey through art history. General admission is €5.

Free paella and flamenco for Tourist Day in Mijas

On Wednesday, 23 September, Mijas Pueblo will celebrate Tourist Day in Plaza Virgen de la Peña.

The programme starts at 12:00 pm with a flamenco show and continues from 1:30 pm with a free paella tasting. A shuttle bus service is also planned to make access easier.

It is an especially appealing option for anyone who wants to combine a visit to the village with Andalusian food and tradition.

Estepona turns the Orchidarium into a fashion catwalk

From 23 to 26 September, the Estepona Orchidarium Botanical Park will host the tenth edition of Estepona de Moda.

The event celebrates its tenth anniversary by returning to the place where it first began. Over four evenings there will be fashion shows featuring designers, brands and models, generally starting from 8:00 pm.

The programme ends on Saturday with the 7th Young Designers Competition, where eight finalists will present their collections.

Four nights of free theatre in Mijas Pueblo

Another major cultural event this week is the 40th Villa de Mijas Theatre Festival, taking place from 24 to 27 September.

The Miguel González Berral Municipal Auditorium will host four evenings of performances covering drama, comedy and even productions linked to opera.

All shows begin at 9:00 pm and admission is free until capacity is reached.

Free concert showcasing emerging talent in Málaga

Music also takes centre stage in Málaga city.

On Thursday, 24 September at 7:30 pm, the final of the Málaga Crea 2026 Young Contemporary Music Showcase will take place.

The finalists are Aida Garner, Benzú, Yolan Postigo and Sara Shiver Project, with Anadie appearing as a guest artist.

Torremolinos gets ready for the San Miguel Fair

After the pilgrimage held this past Sunday, Torremolinos now prepares for one of its biggest celebrations of the year.

The San Miguel Fair 2026 will take place from 25 to 29 September, with activity in the town centre during the day and at the fairground in the evening.

Music, marquees, fairground rides, food and a festive atmosphere will make Torremolinos one of the main entertainment hubs on the Costa del Sol over the coming days.

Estepona celebrates British and Ukrainian culture

At the weekend, Estepona’s seafront will once again reflect the many nationalities that live in the municipality.

On Saturday 26, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the town will celebrate UK Culture Day, while on Sunday 27, from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, the focus will shift to Ukrainian culture.

Both events are part of the ‘Sharing Cultures’ programme and will take place near the Monumento a la Peseta.

Fuengirola celebrates the Rosario Pilgrimage on Sunday

On Sunday, 27 September, Fuengirola will hold its pilgrimage in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary.

The day will begin with a pilgrims’ mass at 10:00 am, after which the procession will leave Plaza de la Constitución and head towards El Esparragal Park in Mijas.

The route passes through several streets and rural paths before reaching the final celebration area.

A nostalgic TENTE exhibition in Fuengirola

For those looking for a cultural plan that can be enjoyed almost any day, the Fuengirola City Museum is opening an exhibition dedicated to TENTE, one of Spain’s most iconic construction toys.

The exhibition includes original models and fan creations, ranging from ships and vehicles to buildings and spacecraft.

It opens on 21 September, runs until 6 November and admission is free.
