Fuengirola Offers a Workshop on How to Cook Traditional Sardine Skewers

Fuengirola will introduce young people to one of the Costa del Sol’s most representative culinary traditions through a sardine skewer workshop at Castillo Beach.

Organised by the Youth Department, the activity will take place on Wednesday, 29 July, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. Participants will learn how to prepare and cook sardines using the traditional canes placed beside the fire.

A Beachside Moraga

The workshop will be held in the boat area of Castillo Beach and will also include a social element.

As well as receiving practical advice on preparing the fish, participants will take part in a traditional beach barbecue known locally as a moraga.

The initiative combines training, gastronomy and leisure in a setting closely connected to Fuengirola’s maritime heritage.

Only 20 Places Available

The activity is aimed at people aged 16 to 35 and is limited to 20 participants.

Registration costs €5 and will open through the Tarjeta Ciudadana platform on 15 July at 8:00 p.m. Advance booking is recommended due to the limited number of places.
