La Pequeña Cuba 2026 comes to Torremolinos with music, food and cocktails from €5
The gastro-cultural festival will take place from 9 to 12 July in Plaza Pablo Ruiz Picasso, offering free entry, live performances, traditional dancing, family activities and authentic Cuban flavours.
Torremolinos is preparing for four days filled with Caribbean rhythm as the La Pequeña Cuba gastro-cultural festival returns, bringing the music, folklore and cuisine of the island to residents and visitors.
The event will be held from Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 July 2026 in the centrally located Plaza Pablo Ruiz Picasso. The venue will open each day at 4 pm, with activities continuing until midnight. Admission is free, and the programme has been designed for visitors of all ages.
Four afternoons of Cuban culture in central Torremolinos
La Pequeña Cuba will transform the square into a festive setting inspired by the streets and traditional celebrations of the island.
Over the four days, visitors will be able to enjoy live music, DJ sessions, entertainment, folk dancing, workshops and performances. Caribbean rhythms will be combined with traditional costumes and a wide range of cultural activities showcasing the diversity of Cuban customs.
The afternoon and evening schedule makes it easy to visit the festival after a day at the beach, enjoy the programme before dinner or remain in the square until closing time.
Cuban food, mojitos and beer
Food and drink will play a central role throughout the festival. Visitors will find dishes and products inspired by Cuban cuisine, as well as street food stalls.
The drinks menu will include mojitos, piña coladas and other rum-based cocktails. Cuban beers such as Bucanero and Cristal will also be available, alongside other options to enjoy during the performances.
According to the programme published for the event, cocktails will cost €5, while beers and tinto de verano will be available for €1.
Free face painting for children
The festival has been designed as a family-friendly event open to all ages.
Every afternoon, from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm, free face painting will be available for younger visitors. This activity will complement the workshops, entertainment and performances taking place throughout each day.
Plaza Pablo Ruiz Picasso enjoys a central location and is easily accessible both on foot and by public transport, making the festival convenient for families, couples and groups of friends.
An initiative by Cubanos Unidos Torremolinos
La Pequeña Cuba is organised by the Cubanos Unidos Torremolinos Association, with the support of Torremolinos Town Hall.
The aim of the initiative is to share Cuban traditions with local residents and visitors to the Costa del Sol during the summer, using music, dance and food as a way of bringing different cultures together.
The organisation is bringing back a festival that has previously been held in different locations around the municipality and which, for this edition, will take over the town centre for four consecutive days.
