Candlelight in Málaga in September 2026: remaining dates and concerts from 8 September onwards

The Royal Hall at the Gran Hotel Miramar will once again be filled with candlelight over the coming weeks, with concerts dedicated to Disney, Mecano and some of the biggest hits of the 1980s. These are the Candlelight dates still to come in Málaga this September.

Mijas Fair 2026: Camela, Medina Azahara, Marta Quintero and Alba Dreid headline six days of celebrations

Mijas celebrates its patron saint festivities from Monday 7 to Saturday 12 September with free concerts, a daytime fair, family activities, the Virgen de la Peña procession and special shuttle buses connecting different parts of the municipality.

Torremolinos will celebrate its main annual fair from 25 to 29 September with free live music, daytime festivities, the traditional pilgrimage and activities for all ages. El Kanka will close the programme on San Miguel’s Day.

Virgen de la Victoria in Málaga 2026: times, procession and full route for 7 and 8 September

Málaga prepares to celebrate the feast day of its patron saint on Tuesday 8 September, with a solemn Mass at the Cathedral and one of the most anticipated processions in the city’s annual calendar. Events begin on Monday with the final day of the novena and culminate on Tuesday night with the return of Santa María de la Victoria to her Basilica and Royal Sanctuary.

Mini golf, food and charity in Manilva: Roman Oasis hosts an afternoon fundraiser for ADANA

Roman Oasis Mini Golf & Bar will hold a charity event on Tuesday 15 September with 18 holes, a buffet lunch, a drink and music. Tickets cost €25, with €10 from every participant donated directly to ADANA to support the care of rescued dogs.

Supermarkets and shopping centres open in Málaga on 8 September: opening times for the Virgen de la Victoria holiday

Málaga celebrates its patron saint this Tuesday, but the local public holiday does not mean all commercial activity comes to a stop. Major shopping centres such as Plaza Mayor, Rosaleda, Vialia and Larios Centro will remain open, while supermarket opening varies depending on the chain and, in some cases, the individual store.

Cortijo de Torres Auditorium will host a major 90s-themed party on Saturday 12 September, bringing together voices and artists linked to some of the decade’s biggest dance anthems. Anita Doth, Technotronic, Rozalla, DJ Sash!, Katherine Ellis and Damae are among the names on the bill.

Torre del Mar Air Festival 2026: Eurofighter, A400M and more than 30 aircraft over the beach this weekend

The eleventh edition takes place from 4 to 6 September with training sessions, model aircraft displays, a sunset air show and almost four hours of flying on Sunday. Admission is free, with the Eurofighter, Formación Mirlo, Patrulla Aspa and A400M among the main attractions.
