The Blaze, Sound Therapy for the Marenostrum
French musicians Guillaume and Jonathan Alric, one of the most renowned duos in electronic music, arrive this Saturday in Fuengirola, brought to you by Metrica.
Initially, with Daft Punk and Justice, France already had two powerful duos that were known beyond its borders. But it seems that was not enough because, since 2017, The Blaze has been leaving its mark on the electronic music world in a remarkable way. Formed by cousins Guillaume and Jonathan Alric, they neither seek the classic French house of Daft Punk nor the forceful and dramatic sound of Justice. They walk a unique path, combining a musical proposal with refined audiovisual components. The result is a very recognizable sound therapy, filling auditoriums around the world. This Saturday, The Blaze will be in Fuengirola, at the Marenostrum.
At an event organized by the Metrica label, electronic music lovers are in luck. It is the second time they perform in the province of Málaga, after performing at the now-defunct CalaMijas in 2023. It will be an opportunity to savor the good work of this French pair. Melodic sound like a silk glove, pulsating, accompanied by hypnotic videos created by themselves. The whole composes an audiovisual work that envelops the viewer and puts them in a bubble.
Miguel Payda, creator of Metrica, speaks to SUR and considers it "fortunate" to have The Blaze this Saturday. "It not only encompasses a public that loves only electronic music but also caters to other genres, such as rock or indie. The Blaze adapts to various styles," he explains. "I think we are going to have people who are regulars at festivals like BBK or Primavera Sound," he concludes.

The intensity that The Blaze brings to their performances was also confirmed with the ravages left by the world tour following the release of 'Dance Hall'. The physical and mental wear led the duo to take a break from the stages. Guillaume Alric focused on his solo career and released 'Petrichor', an album inspired by his rural roots in Burgundy.
The duo's return was big, with the release of 'The Eyes', one of their most listened-to singles. An identifiable sound, yet new and fresh. As usual, the voices of Guillaume and Alric alternate. A singing that conveys a certain melancholy, until the 'drop' comes to the rescue for dancing. This Saturday, it can be experienced 'in situ' at the Marenostrum, in one of the strong appointments of this electronic summer in the province of Málaga.
