Fuengirola's summer cinema already has dates

The summer cinema in Fuengirola now has scheduled dates. It will be held on the 29th and 30th of July, and the 19th and 20th of August, and like other years, it will take place at the Marenostrum venue. This year, the attendees themselves will choose the movies to be screened by voting for their favorites, until June 1st, on social media and the website of the Miramar shopping center, which organizes the cinema event along with the Fuengirola City Council.

Participants will be able to select two animated films from the following titles: 'Bufalo Kids', 'Gru 4 My Favorite Villain', 'Kung Fu Panda', and 'Garfield the Movie'; and two fiction movies to choose from: 'Padre no hay más que uno 4', 'Campeonex', and 'Summer Vacation'. Those who participate in the movie selection process will enter a draw for four gift cards valued at fifty euros each. Both the selected movies and the winners of the draw will be announced on June 2nd.

"One of the most established activities in our city during the summer season is the summer cinema, which we have been organizing for more than a decade and always enjoys public acceptance from both residents and visitors during the summer," said José Sánchez, the Councilor for Beaches, explaining that "it is a cultural activity that complements the sun and beach offerings we have in Fuengirola. It is also a family activity in which three generations participate, as often grandparents, parents, and grandchildren attend."

The cinema will have a charitable component, as once again the operation of the food and beverage stands will be granted to two social associations with strong roots in the city such as the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) and the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer's Patients (AFA).
