The stupa, Bil-Bil, and the downtown area: Benalmádena aims to become 'Instagrammable' by installing several selfie spots in the town.

Benalmádena aims to conquer Instagram and other social networks with its beauty while offering a keepsake to every visitor who passes through the municipality. To achieve this, the City Council has installed three selfie spots in different locations around the municipality, each symbolizing the locality.

Specifically, the Operational Services department has acquired three benches that are being placed in Costa, Arroyo de la Miel, and Benalmádena Pueblo. These include a heart located at the lookout of the Stupa of Enlightenment in Benalmádena; a crescent moon, which will be located near the El Bil Bil castle; and a third spot at the beginning of Vicente Aleixandre street, which is loaded with history as it pays homage to the stream that once crossed the center of the town.

"We continue to carry out numerous actions that fulfill our commitment to beautify the municipality, paying attention to every detail, adding to the daily activities of cleaning, clearing, and caring for our parks and gardens, the enhancement of history, investments in high-traffic areas, such as the installation of these three selfie spots, planters or the recent installation of a sculpture at the Obispo Herrera Oria roundabout, small investments that show a Benalmádena that is cared for and that we all take care of together," said Juan Olea, Councilor for Operational Services.
