The Adolfo Suárez Conference and Exhibition Centre in Marbella will host the 4th edition of the Environmental Health Technical Conference on May 15th. The event aims to address the needs of business owners and industry personnel, providing them with tools to better serve the community, according to the Marbella City Council. The event will start at 10:00 AM with the reception of attendees and will include three talks given by specialists on topics such as control measures against invasive species and mosquitoes, and new regulations regarding Legionella. The first presentation will take place from 10:30 to 11:15 AM and will be delivered by Carlos Pradera, a communicator and expert in urban pests, as stated by the City Council. "The main strategies to prevent the proliferation of invasive species will be discussed, as we are in an area where they can adapt very quickly," points out the City Council. The second session, from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM, will address challenges related to Legionella. The event will conclude with a talk from 12:15 to 1:00 PM by Dr. Mikel Bengoa, a doctor in entomology, who will discuss innovations in mosquito control that might be particularly relevant this year due to recent rainfall. Admission is free until full capacity is reached, with prior registration required.
