Marbella Launches ‘Summer Youth’ Programme with 2,500 Free Places

Marbella Town Hall has presented a new edition of ‘Verano Joven’, or ‘Summer Youth’, a free programme aimed at young people in the municipality that will offer around 2,500 places during the summer months.

The initiative brings together healthy leisure activities, participation opportunities, training and personal development, with the aim of providing young residents with a wide range of options during the school holidays.

The programme includes cultural activities, parties in supervised settings, excursions to theme parks, water-based experiences and courses designed to improve participants’ professional skills.

Registration will open on July 1, 2026.

Eight Outdoor Cinema Sessions Across the Municipality

One of the main new features this year is the expansion of the outdoor cinema programme.

After offering only two screenings last summer, the Town Hall will increase the number to a total of eight sessions, distributed across the different districts of Marbella.

The aim is to bring cultural entertainment closer to young people living in different parts of the municipality and make it easier for them to take part without always having to travel into the city centre.

The screenings will take place outdoors and form part of a programme designed to create meeting points and entertainment opportunities during summer evenings.

Youth Parties in Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara

The programme will also include two alcohol-free youth parties, offering a safe and age-appropriate alternative for evening entertainment.

One will take place at La Salida beach in San Pedro Alcántara, while the other will be held at Parque del Mediterráneo in Marbella.

A further four events featuring DJs will also be organised in supervised and controlled venues.

Through these activities, the Town Hall aims to give young people the opportunity to socialise and enjoy music in settings specifically designed for them.

Excursions to Isla Mágica and Aqualand

Trips and excursions will form an important part of the ‘Summer Youth’ programme.

The activities announced include visits to Isla Mágica theme park in Seville and the Aqualand water park.

These excursions will allow participants to enjoy full days of leisure outside the municipality and share group experiences during the summer holidays.

Places will be limited, so young people will need to complete their registration within the established deadlines and check the specific requirements for each activity.

Surfing, Kayaking and Canyoning

The programme will also focus on outdoor activities and adventure sports.

Participants will be able to join a surf workshop in El Palmar, take part in a kayaking route in Maro or try canyoning in Río Verde.

These experiences combine physical activity, contact with nature and interaction with other young people.

As well as providing healthy leisure alternatives, the activities offer an opportunity to discover different natural areas of Andalusia and encourage values such as teamwork, independence and respect for the environment.

Jet Skis, Parasailing and Other Water Activities

Marbella’s connection with the sea will play a major role in the summer programme.

‘Summer Youth’ will offer a range of water-based experiences, including jet skiing, parasailing, inflatable towable rides, jet car experiences and boat trips.

The programme will also include accessible kayaking, with the aim of encouraging participation among young people with different needs.

The variety of activities will give participants access to sports and experiences that can often be expensive outside municipal programmes.

All activities will be carried out under the safety and supervision requirements established for each type of experience.

Training to Improve Employment Opportunities

The programme will not focus exclusively on entertainment.

As part of ‘Activa Marbella’, an initiative promoted by the Social Rights Department, participants will have access to seven training programmes aimed at improving their skills and employability.

The announced courses include water lifeguard training, video game development with Roblox and Unity, and graphic design using Canva.

These subjects reflect areas of particular interest to young people and provide knowledge that can be applied to future jobs or personal projects.

The lifeguard course may help participants access employment opportunities at swimming pools, beaches and sports facilities, particularly during the summer season.

The Roblox and Unity course will introduce students to video game development, while the Canva course will teach basic skills related to digital content design.

Around 2,500 Free Places Available

The 2026 edition of ‘Summer Youth Marbella’ will make approximately 2,500 places available.

The fact that the activities are free will make them accessible to young people from different economic backgrounds and broaden the range of summer leisure and training opportunities available in the municipality.

The programme combines four main areas:

Cultural leisure: Outdoor cinema sessions across the districts.
Youth entertainment: Alcohol-free parties and DJ events.
Adventure and sport: Surfing, kayaking, canyoning and water activities.
Training: Courses related to employment, technology and design.

The diversity of the programme will allow participants to choose the activities that best suit their interests.

Registration will begin on July 1, 2026.

As the activities have limited capacity, participants are advised to check Marbella Town Hall’s official channels in advance and review the conditions for each option.

Some activities may include specific requirements related to age, parental permission, physical ability or documentation.

Through this new edition, Marbella Town Hall aims to offer young residents a more active and engaging summer by combining entertainment, social participation, training and healthy habits.
