Gala to recognize the work of seventeen volunteers from Fuengirola

This year, the 'Rocío Alfaro Calvo' gala will serve to recognize the efforts of seven local volunteers. The event will be held on May 9th, starting at 7:00 PM, at the Palacio de la Paz and aims to be "a simple, but heartfelt tribute to all the people in our city who altruistically and selflessly give part of their time to others, as well as to all the social entities in our municipality that carry out extremely important work."

This was explained by the Councilor for Families, Equality, and Social Welfare, Cristina Bornao, who reminded that it is the social groups who choose the individuals deserving of recognition.

This year, the following local associations will participate: Cudeca, AFA, Avates, Women's Equality Association, Apaffer, AECC, Cooperation Honduras, Málaga Acoge, Red Madre, Afesol, Adintre, ONCE, Fuensocial, AVOI, Opening Doors, Harena Foundation, and Civil Protection. The event will be enlivened by violinist Annya.

Bornao expressed her gratitude "to all the social entities that are part of the Social Council of Fuengirola and to all the people who carry out social work in our municipality."
