CanelaParty 2027 Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary with Rodrigo Cuevas, Maria Arnal, Nothing and Ratboys

A Special Anniversary Edition in Torremolinos

CanelaParty has revealed the first details of its 2027 edition, marking two decades since the festival began.

The anniversary event will take place over three days, from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 August 2027, at Torremolinos Fairground.

The first announcement brings together nine Spanish and international artists, maintaining the festival’s focus on guitar music, adventurous programming and unexpected combinations of styles.

The line-up announced so far includes:

• Maria Arnal.
• Nothing.
• paco te quiero.
• Perfecto Miserable.
• Ratboys.
• Rodrigo Cuevas.
• Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever.

Further artists, daily line-ups and performance times will be revealed at a later date.

Rodrigo Cuevas and Maria Arnal Lead the Spanish Contingent

Rodrigo Cuevas is one of the most prominent Spanish performers in the first announcement.

The Asturian artist combines traditional music, electronic sounds, humour and theatrical performance in a highly distinctive live show.

Maria Arnal will bring her exploration of the human voice, electronic experimentation and contemporary reinterpretation of musical traditions to Torremolinos.

Spanish projects paco te quiero and Perfecto Miserable complete the initial domestic selection.

International Rock, Post-Punk and Shoegaze

CanelaParty’s first announcement also features a strong international line-up.

Agriculture will present its expansive approach to black metal, while British group DITZ will bring a forceful mixture of post-punk, noise rock and abrasive guitars.

Nothing represents contemporary shoegaze, combining distortion, dense atmospheres and melodic songwriting. US group Ratboys moves between indie rock, alternative country and guitar pop.

Australian band Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever completes the first international selection with bright melodies, interlocking guitars and energetic rhythms.

Twenty Years of Music and Costumes

CanelaParty began in 2007 and has grown from a small music gathering into one of Spain’s most distinctive alternative festivals.

Alongside its commitment to indie, punk, post-punk and experimental rock, the event is particularly famous for its traditional costume party.

Festivalgoers frequently attend in elaborate individual and group costumes, turning the event into a collective celebration that extends beyond the concerts themselves.

Tickets for CanelaParty 2027

Festival passes are already available through CanelaParty’s official sales channels.

The first allocation was announced from €55, although prices may rise as each ticket tier sells out. Buyers should check the current price, booking fees and purchase conditions before placing an order.
