Málaga’s Calle Larios becomes a giant catwalk for Fashion Week 2026 this weekend

Central Málaga will take on a very different look this weekend as one of its most famous streets is transformed into a major open-air fashion runway. On Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September, Calle Marqués de Larios will host the 15th edition of Pasarela Larios Málaga Fashion Week, with two evenings of shows featuring well-known names, international designers and new talent.

The programme starts at 8:00 pm on both days, with the event once again using a runway around 300 metres long in the heart of the historic centre.

Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Ángel Schlesser, Jesús Segado, Félix Ramiro and Juan Carlos Armas are among the names taking part this year, alongside a strong group of up-and-coming designers.

Two nights of fashion in the heart of Calle Larios

One of the defining features of Pasarela Larios is its setting.

For two evenings, Calle Larios leaves behind its usual role as Málaga’s main shopping street and becomes a large open-air fashion stage, with collections arriving from different parts of Spain and abroad.

The organisation and Málaga City Council describe the installation as a 300-metre runway and one of the longest open-air fashion catwalks in Europe.

For anyone in Málaga this weekend, the event also works as an easy city-centre plan that can be combined with shopping, sightseeing or dinner nearby.

The first evening takes place on Friday, 25 September from 8:00 pm.

Designers and brands scheduled to take part include Mona Al Mansouri, Juan Carlos Armas, Btissam Dahane, ByVel, Susana Hidalgo, Jesús Segado, Nati Rudnitskaya, La Gioconda, As-Feniks, Atelier de Bodas by Jaime Jarque, Lecci Dhofar, Lucía Cano and Ángel Schlesser.

The evening will also include several special recognitions.

La Gioconda Novias will be honoured for its 20-year career, while the Kapyderm Award 2026 will recognise professionalism among the models taking part in the runway shows.

Another major moment will be the presentation of the Golden Pin 2026 to Ángel Schlesser, one of the event’s main distinctions this year.

The second evening will also begin at 8:00 pm on Saturday, 26 September, with another broad mix of styles and designers.

Among those scheduled are IT Spain, María Díezma, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Nati Rudnitskaya, ByVel, José Perea, Liza De Fazio, Hard Rock Cafe by Julio Ferrucho, Khouloud Radi Caftan, Mado Vigarok, El Carlo Marbella, Moncho Heredia, Xenia Albacete and Félix Ramiro.

The programme will also include designers from Castilla y León through the Uniendo Moda initiative, as well as participants from the Gibraltar Fashion Collective.

This international and interregional element is one of the features of the 2026 edition, broadening the event beyond the local fashion scene.

14 emerging designers compete for the Málaga de Moda award

Pasarela Larios is not only about established brands.

The Málaga de Moda Talent and Creativity Competition 2026 once again gives emerging designers the chance to showcase their work on one of the city’s most visible stages.

This year’s 14 selected designers are Irene Villalobos, Kori Rodríguez, Laura Álvarez, Laura Ortiz, Hanna Miadzvedzeva, Macarena Yagüe, Teresa Perujo, July Romero, María Gutiérrez, María José Perujo, Tom Marquez, Paola Rojas, Rachid Bouazza and Romina Leticia Ojeda.

Their collections will be shown on Saturday, when the winner of the competition will also be announced.

The initiative is backed by Málaga de Moda, Talento Original, the fashion brand promoted by Málaga Provincial Council, and aims to give new designers greater visibility and professional exposure.

Xenia Albacete, winner of the 2025 edition, will also return to the runway this year.

Fashion Week continues beyond Calle Larios

The 2026 programme does not end when the main runway closes on Saturday night.

From 27 September, Only YOU Málaga will host an exhibition linked to the creative world of IT Spain.

On 2 October, fashion will move to the Gran Hotel Miramar, where Jesús Segado is scheduled to present a new collection.

Then, on 7 October, the area outside the Centre Pompidou Málaga will host the third edition of the Breast Cancer Fashion Show, organised in collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Málaga.

Fifteen editions bringing fashion into central Málaga

Pasarela Larios reaches its 15th edition in 2026, consolidating a formula that sets it apart from more traditional fashion events: taking the runway out of a closed venue and placing it directly in one of Málaga’s busiest urban spaces.

For two evenings, fashion becomes part of the atmosphere of the historic centre, bringing collections closer not only to industry professionals but also to residents and visitors walking through the city.
