MANERO Marbella opens at Don Carlos: terrace, bistro and cocktails by the Mediterranean

Marbella has a new addition to its dining scene. MANERO Marbella has opened at Don Carlos with a concept designed to go beyond the traditional restaurant experience, combining food, cocktails, design and atmosphere in a venue that can take guests from aperitif to lunch, drinks and late-night plans without changing location.

Situated at Don Carlos Marbella on Avenida Zurita, the venue opens towards the resort gardens and the Mediterranean. Its concept is divided into three connected spaces — MANERO Terrace, Bar MANERO and MANERO Bistró — each with its own character.

Three spaces for three different moments

One of MANERO Marbella’s main attractions is that there is no single way to experience it.

The visit can begin at MANERO Terrace, a covered outdoor space inspired by Spanish aperitif and tapas culture. This area also includes a kiosk created in collaboration with Campari, adding a more informal drinks-focused element to the experience.

The second space is Bar MANERO, where the bar and cocktail offering take centre stage. It is designed as a social meeting point, whether for a drink before lunch, an evening cocktail or a later night out.

For a more relaxed meal, there is MANERO Bistró, which opens towards the gardens with the Mediterranean in the background. Here the focus shifts towards internationally inspired cuisine, accompanied by a broader wine selection.

From aperitif to late night

The concept is designed to adapt to different times of day.

MANERO Marbella is open from 12:00 pm to 2:00 am, allowing guests to start with tapas at lunchtime and finish with cocktails late at night without leaving the venue.

That sense of continuity is an important part of the experience: the atmosphere changes gradually as the day moves on, from a bright and relaxed daytime setting to something more social and nightlife-focused after dark.

Design inspired by Mediterranean Dolce Vita

Interior design is another major part of the concept.

The project was created by Lázaro Rosa-Violán in collaboration with Apple Tart, with an aesthetic inspired by the Mediterranean Dolce Vita of the 1970s.

Warm tones, carefully chosen materials and a strong connection with the surrounding greenery and outdoor spaces create a sophisticated atmosphere without losing the relaxed feeling of being close to the sea.

The open-air courtyard and views towards the Don Carlos gardens and Mediterranean also allow the setting itself to become part of the experience.

Music plays a major role too, alongside references to art, fashion and culture that form part of the wider MANERO identity.

The food and drink offering changes depending on the space.

At MANERO Terrace, tapas and the Mediterranean aperitif tradition take centre stage, with dishes designed for sharing and more informal dining.

MANERO Bistró offers a different experience, with internationally inspired cuisine and a wider wine list.

Meanwhile, Bar MANERO focuses on the social side of the venue, with cocktails as one of its main attractions.

That mix means a visit can take many forms: a full meal, a few tapas, a pre-dinner drink or a late-night cocktail.
