Camela, Cali y El Dandee and María del Monte Headline Vélez-Málaga’s San Miguel Fair 2026


Vélez-Málaga’s San Miguel Fair runs from 29 September to 4 October. Requiebros and Salistre complete a concert line-up that is free to attend, except for Camela’s €5 show.

From the Opening Speech to the Night Fair

Vélez-Málaga will open its San Miguel Fair on Tuesday 29 September with a speech by Sergio Pérez, known as “El Cindindi”, in Plaza de la Constitución. Requiebros will perform afterwards, providing the music for the first night.

On Wednesday 30 September, the official fairground marquee will host the Amparo Muñoz contest and the selection of the fair’s child and youth representatives. The Night Fair will also be formally inaugurated that day.

Four Days of Daytime Festivities and Concerts

From Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 October, celebrations will spread through the town centre. Street stages will host performances, local brotherhoods will run bars, and dance academies will take part. The full programme of local artists and other activities has yet to be announced.

The main concerts scheduled for those four days are:

  • Thursday 1 October: Camela at the official fairground marquee. Tickets: €5.
  • Friday 2 October: Cali y El Dandee. Free admission.
  • Saturday 3 October: Salistre. Free admission.
  • Sunday 4 October: María del Monte, following the traditional dinner for older residents. Free admission.

Camela tickets go on sale on Wednesday 16 September at the tourist offices in Vélez-Málaga and Torre del Mar.

Families can also look forward to a daily mini fair on Calle Canalejas and a Children’s Day on the closing Sunday. Further details of the children’s programme have not yet been released.
