Concerts in Málaga this week: Taburete, Niña Pastori, La Plazuela and elrow from 17 to 23 August

Live music is once again one of the biggest plans on the Costa del Sol this week. Between Monday 17 and Sunday 23 August 2026, some of Málaga province’s leading venues will welcome artists including Taburete, Antoñito Molina, Antonio José, Niña Pastori, Galván Real, Pastora Soler and La Plazuela, alongside one of the summer’s major electronic events: elrow Málaga XXL.

The programme is particularly concentrated around Marbella and Fuengirola. Starlite Occident has concerts scheduled almost every night, while Marenostrum Fuengirola combines urban sounds, contemporary Andalusian music, an afternoon indie event and a family show to close the week.

Málaga city joins the programme on Saturday with elrow at Málaga Forum.

Monday 17: Taburete opens the week at Starlite Occident

The week begins on Monday 17 August in Marbella with Taburete, returning to the Starlite Occident stage.

The Madrid band led by Willy Bárcenas and Antón Carreño returns to the festival after a period away from the spotlight and during a new phase shaped by their album El perro que fuma.

The concert is scheduled for 10pm, with doors opening at 8pm, and will mark Taburete’s eighth appearance at Starlite.

Fans can expect a combination of the band’s latest material and some of the tracks that have defined its career, including songs such as Sirenas, Belerofon and Amos del Piano Bar.

Tuesday 18: Antoñito Molina in Marbella and Luna Sur in Fuengirola

Tuesday offers two very different options depending on the atmosphere you are looking for.

At Starlite Occident, Antoñito Molina will perform the first of two consecutive nights in Marbella.

The Andalusian singer has built a successful solo career around emotional pop songs with strong southern Spanish influences and a particularly close relationship with his audience.

After his years as part of El Tren de los Sueños, his solo career has established him as one of the most prominent names in contemporary Andalusian pop.

Luna Sur brings an afternoon music session to Marenostrum

Those looking for something different can head to Luna Sur Tardeo at Marenostrum Fuengirola’s Unicaja stage on the same day.

The event begins at 6pm and is designed as an afternoon and evening session running until midnight.

The line-up includes Ultraligera, Juanca and Pope Supersub DJs, combining indie music, DJ sets and a summer tardeo atmosphere beside the Mediterranean.

Wednesday 19: another chance to see Antoñito Molina

Anyone unable to attend Tuesday’s concert will have another opportunity just 24 hours later.

Antoñito Molina returns to Starlite Occident on Wednesday 19 August, again at 10pm.

Two consecutive dates make him one of the main names on Marbella’s music programme this week.

Tickets for the second performance currently start at €45, slightly higher than the Tuesday concert.

Thursday 20: Antonio José brings his latest live show to Marbella

Thursday belongs to Antonio José.

The Córdoba-born singer will perform at Starlite Occident on 20 August at 10pm, with a concert built around his melodic pop style and his latest artistic chapter, including material from Luz.

The set is also expected to feature some of the best-known songs from his career, including A un milímetro de ti, Por mil razones and Lo que hará mi boca.

In Marbella, Niña Pastori will return to the Starlite Occident auditorium.

With more than 25 years of experience, the singer from San Fernando has built one of the most successful careers in contemporary flamenco, combining traditional roots with a style that has helped bring the genre to wider audiences.

In Marbella, Pastora Soler will perform at Starlite Occident for the first time.

La Plazuela, formed by Manuel Hidalgo Sierra and Luis Abril Martín, will bring its characteristic blend of flamenco, electronic music and funk to Marenostrum.

The Granada duo has become one of the most recognisable names in Spain’s new Andalusian music scene thanks to its ability to reinterpret traditional influences without losing their identity.

Málaga city will also have its own major music event.

Málaga Forum hosts elrow Málaga XXL on Saturday 22 August, bringing one of the most recognisable brands in international electronic music to the city.

elrow combines electronic sets with large-scale visual production, elaborate stage design, performers and immersive decoration, creating an experience that goes far beyond a conventional DJ session.

Sunday 23: CantaJuego closes the week with a family show

After six days dominated by pop, flamenco and electronic music, Sunday brings a complete change of audience.

CantaJuego – El Payaso Tallarín arrives at Marenostrum Fuengirola’s Fundación Unicaja stage with a show specifically designed for families with children.

The production combines songs, choreography, characters, comedy and circus-style performances, with El Payaso Tallarín joined by his troupe and familiar characters including Coco and Pepe.

Doors open at 7:30pm, with the show beginning at 8:30pm.

Tickets start at €20, and every attendee requires a ticket regardless of age.
