Málaga welcomes a packed week of concerts featuring pop, flamenco, electronic music and Latin rhythms

The province of Málaga is preparing for one of the busiest weeks of its summer music calendar. Between Monday 3 and Sunday 9 August, venues including Starlite Occident Marbella, Marenostrum Fuengirola and Málaga Forum will welcome national and international artists spanning melodic pop, contemporary flamenco, rap, electronic music and Latin rhythms.

Although no major performances are scheduled for Monday, the programme will begin on Tuesday and gradually intensify before reaching its peak over the weekend. Marbella will host many of the week’s concerts, while Fuengirola will stage two of its most prominent international events.

Sergio Dalma opens the week in Marbella

The first major concert will take place on Tuesday, 4 August, when Sergio Dalma performs at the Starlite Occident Marbella auditorium.

The Catalan singer will look back over a career spanning more than three decades, shaped by romantic ballads and melodic pop. His setlist will bring audiences back to songs that have accompanied several generations and established him as one of the most recognisable voices in Spanish music. Tickets are available from €29.

Gente de Zona turns Starlite into a Latin party

The programme continues on Wednesday, 5 August, with Gente de Zona. The Cuban duo will bring its energetic combination of urban music, reggaeton and Caribbean rhythms to the Marbella stage.

The group has achieved major international success with songs blending Latin pop, dance music and tropical sounds. Its performance promises to transform the Nagüeles Quarry auditorium into a huge open-air dancefloor. Tickets start at €29.

Delaossa returns to Málaga for one of the week’s most anticipated concerts

On Thursday, 6 August, it will be the turn of Delaossa, one of the leading artists in Spain’s current urban music scene.

The Málaga-born rapper will return to his home province with a live show shaped by personal lyrics, a strong connection to his roots and a production combining rap, introspection and contemporary sounds. His close relationship with Málaga makes this one of the most eagerly awaited dates for local audiences.

The concert will take place at Starlite Occident Marbella, with tickets available from €35.

Álvaro de Luna, Nil Moliner and Hermanos Martínez take over Friday night

On Friday, 7 August, Starlite will host two different musical proposals.

Hermanos Martínez will present their singer-songwriter pop, characterised by acoustic melodies, emotional lyrics and Mediterranean influences. Tickets for their performance start at €30.

Later that evening, Álvaro de Luna and Nil Moliner will share the stage in one of the week’s largest concerts. Both artists have established themselves as major names in recent Spanish pop thanks to uplifting songs, memorable choruses and a strong connection with younger audiences.

Their combined repertoires will make this one of the biggest pop nights of the Marbella summer. Tickets are available from €29.

Three different visions of flamenco at Starlite

On Saturday, 8 August, Soleá Morente, Yerai Cortés and Estrella Morente will come together at Starlite Occident for an evening devoted to flamenco.

The three artists represent different ways of approaching the genre. Soleá Morente combines her flamenco heritage with pop, rock and experimentation; Yerai Cortés brings one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary flamenco guitar; and Estrella Morente represents the power of tradition through a career defined by vocal intensity and an openness to other musical influences.

Underworld, Sven Väth and Bonobo headline a major electronic music night

Marenostrum Fuengirola will also host one of the summer’s biggest electronic music events on Saturday: Satisfaxion 30+3.

The line-up will be headed by Underworld performing live, one of the most influential groups in international electronic music. They will be joined by Sven Väth, a historic figure in European techno, and Bonobo, the British producer known for blending electronic, ambient and organic sounds.

The event will transform the venue beside Sohail Castle into a huge open-air dancefloor overlooking the Mediterranean. Tickets start at €44.

Josué Rarujo and Obed Hernández perform at Málaga Forum

Saturday’s programme will also include a concert by Josué Rarujo and Obed Hernández at Málaga Forum.

The performance adds further variety to a day that will feature flamenco in Marbella, electronic music in Fuengirola and this third event in Málaga city. Tickets are available from €27.50.

Gipsy Kings bring the week to a close at Sohail Castle

The week will end on Sunday, 9 August, with Gipsy Kings at Marenostrum Fuengirola.

The group will bring its unmistakable blend of flamenco rumba, pop and Mediterranean rhythms to the interior of Sohail Castle, performing a repertoire expected to include some of its best-known songs.

Tracks such as Bamboleo and Volare have made the band one of the world’s most internationally recognised representatives of Spanish-rooted rumba. Their performance will close seven days of intense musical activity across the province. Tickets are available from €38.50.
