The streets, squares and historic buildings of Coín will once again become improvised stages this weekend for La Noche al Raso, one of the leading cultural events in inland Málaga province.

The initiative reaches its 15th edition in 2026 with more than 20 activities covering live music, theatre, circus performances, dance, photography and visual arts.

The programme will take place over two days. The event known as Pre-Noche al Raso will be held on Friday, June 26, followed by the main celebration on Saturday, June 27. Admission to all activities is free, although advance booking is required for some of them.

An opening evening of circus, crafts, exhibitions and music

The programme will begin on Friday at 7.30pm with Diábolo Classic Metal, a circus show by the company Hermanos Inconfundibles, in Plaza Bermúdez de la Rubia.

From 8pm until midnight, Plaza Alameda will host a craft market. At 8.30pm, the Fundación García Agüera will offer a guided visit to the Antonio Reyna Manescau Centre. Advance booking is required to participate.

At 9pm, the exhibition Sinestesia, by artist Bosska, will open at the former Santa María de la Encarnación Convent. The inauguration will be accompanied by a DJ set from Señor G.

Between 9pm and 11pm, Plaza Santa María will host Reality Space, featuring glitter make-up and temporary tattoo options.

The first evening will conclude at 11pm with a concert by Alejados in Plaza Alameda.

Music, theatre and street performances across Coín

The main La Noche al Raso programme will begin on Saturday, June 27, at 7.30pm with a performance by local dance group DKPOP in Plaza Santa María. The show will feature commercial and lyrical dance.

The Art Market will return to Plaza Alameda from 8pm until midnight. At 8.15pm, the former Hospital de la Caridad will host a performance of Artiluso by the theatre company Markeliñe.

At 8.30pm, children will be able to take part in Despierta la primavera con una flor in Plaza Bermúdez de la Rubia.

The programme will continue at 9.30pm in Parque San Agustín with Carman, a street performance by Javier Ariza combining circus, music and comedy.

At 10.30pm, Los Firefly. Una del Oeste, a travelling theatre performance by Vagalume Teatro, will make its way from Plaza Escamilla to Plaza Alameda.

At 11.45pm, Plaza Alameda will host the dance performance Las 24, created by Marco Vargas and Chloé Brûlé.

The evening will come to a close at 12.30am with a concert by Lady Shakes, a Málaga-based band that will provide the final musical performance of the programme.

A photography marathon with cash prizes

La Noche al Raso also invites amateur and professional photographers to take part in its traditional photography marathon, organised by the Asociación Fotógrafos de Matagallar.

Participants will be able to capture images throughout both days and later submit their best photographs to the competition. Three winners will receive cash prizes, starting at €300.

Photographs may be submitted until 11pm on July 5, 2026, in accordance with the rules published by the organisers.

With this extensive programme, Coín will once again bring June to a close by transforming its historic centre into a large, free cultural venue designed to be enjoyed with family and friends.
