Marbella will once again become one of the main international epicenters of solidarity with the celebration of the 15th edition of the Global Gift Gala, which will take place on July 25 at the Lucía Marbella beach club of the Don Carlos Resort & Spa. Actress, director, and activist Eva Longoria will again be the honorary host of an event that will gather distinguished international personalities from the cultural, business, and social spheres. Among the confirmed attendees are actor Diego Boneta, actress Begoña Vargas, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, Vicky Martín Berrocal, and international artist Greeicy. Mexican singer Carlos Rivera, who will receive the Global Gift Humanitarian Award, and Elsa Collins, a woman who grew up on both sides of the US-Mexico border and who founded The Ideateur, a sports, culture, and entertainment consulting group, will also be there. She will be recognized with the Women Empowerment Award for her work in promoting leadership and female empowerment.

These are some of the names that were put on the table at the iconic hotel during the official presentation of the gala organized by the Global Gift Foundation, an entity founded in 2013 by Marbella entrepreneur and philanthropist María Bravo along with Nicaraguan actress Alina Peralta, and which was attended by the Mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, and officials from Don Carlos, led by its director, Jorge Manzur. The philanthropic weekend will start on July 23 with a welcome dinner organized at one of the Casanis Group's restaurants. The next day, the Don Carlos Marbella hotel will host a reception cocktail for guests, as a prelude to the charity gala on July 25, which is expected to have more than 300 attendees.

"Marbella proves that international promotion can be linked to solidarity and a top-tier tourist event"

"16 years ago we talked with the mayor about the possibility of bringing this project from the United States and today it is a reality; thanks to the Marbella City Council we have a space that has become a reference throughout Europe," María Bravo pointed out, recalling the origins of the project and thanking the institutional support received since its inception. The founder of Global Gift explained that her center, Casa Ángeles, located on Jaime de Mora avenue, serves a hundred families, offering specialized therapies for children with special needs and support for their family environments. Similarly, she highlighted the work of the inclusive programs developed by the entity, including a summer camp that promotes integration and coexistence.

Financial Support

The mayor thanked María Bravo and Eva Longoria, hosts of the gala, "for their firm commitment to the city through an event that has established itself as one of the most important charity galas in Europe" and with which "Marbella demonstrates, once again, that the international promotion of a city can be linked to solidarity and a top-tier tourist event." Muñoz recalled that the City Council "maintains close collaboration with the Global Gift Foundation since 2013, supporting initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable people."

In this regard, she valued María Bravo's commitment to her hometown and her ability to drive projects with significant social impact. "One of the most outstanding examples of this collaboration is Casa Ángeles, a day center for children with special needs jointly promoted by the Global Gift Foundation and the Marbella City Council," she detailed. But, as the mayor recalled, "to be able to maintain all that financial support, it is necessary to hold galas" like the one on July 25.
