18/06/2026 at 21:22h.The Marbella City Council has shown its support for the 4th Charity Race Route 091, an initiative promoted by the Local Police Station ... National which will be held next September 4th and will allocate the proceeds to the Principito and Debra Butterfly Skin associations. The councilor for the area, Lisandro Vieytes, reiterated municipal support for a race "that has become established within the local calendar and represents the union of two hallmarks of Marbella such as sport and solidarity." "We are a city committed to healthy habits and social causes, and this event is a magnificent example of how both realities can converge for the benefit of those who need it most," said the councilor, who highlighted "the pride that the city has in the state security forces."
For her part, the National Police Commissioner in Marbella, Esther Martín, highlighted that this fourth edition "bears the historical mark of the 200th anniversary of the National Police" and emphasized that the race represents "our vocation for public service directly transferred to the social and human plane." In this sense, she remarked that, in addition to protecting the streets of Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara, the institution wants "to fill them with life, health, sport, and above all, hope." "Each stride we take together next September 4th will have the sole purpose of supporting the local projects of both associations and improving the quality of life of those who need it most in our municipality," she stated.

The race will start at 19:00 with the children's category, a non-competitive event with distances of 500 and 1,000 meters depending on the age of the participants, a registration fee of 10 euros, and a limit of 300 places. Subsequently, at 20:00, the adult race will take place on an urban circuit of 5,091 meters, with a fee of 14 euros and a maximum of 1,000 runners. The start and finish will be located on Avenida Duque de Ahumada, next to the Marbella Sports Port. The day will also feature a display of police resources in the vicinity of the race, where families can get up close with vehicles, specialized units, and resources of the National Police.
Registrations are already open through the official website of the event, while the zero bib allows for charitable contributions starting from 10 euros. The funds raised will be entirely allocated to support the work carried out by the Principito Association, dedicated to the care of minors with autism spectrum disorder and their families, and Debra Butterfly Skin, an entity that provides socio-health assistance to people affected by this rare disease.
