Everything is set for this Monday's start of the Marbella Fair 2026, which this year comes with two major new features: more space and a new youth area. The Arroyo Segundo venue will expand by 10,000 square meters, which will allow, according to the City Council, "better pedestrian paths" in a space that will be "more comfortable, accessible, and orderly for everyone." The expansion of the area will make it possible for the first time for the fairgrounds to have a youth space, conceived as a meeting point, and which will feature DJ sessions, food trucks, and specific activities.

The starting signal will be given by Aurelio Gómez Gutiérrez, a municipal employee since 1985 and a worker in the Festivities delegation since 1987, who will be responsible for delivering the opening speech at the Terrazas del Puerto Deportivo, starting at 10:00 PM. This will be followed by the coronation and the awarding of sashes to the queens, king, lady, and miss congeniality; the selection of the popular queen and the fireworks show from the vicinity of Faro Beach. From three hours earlier, residents and visitors will be able to start enjoying the attractions, which will remain open during the festivities from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

The Day Fair will once again be concentrated on the Alameda promenade and Mar Avenue, and will start tomorrow, Tuesday, with an institutional recognition to the Motoclub Peña Los Mentirosos, whose name will identify the access arch to this venue in the city center "as a tribute to its trajectory and connection with local traditions."

The program includes a performance by Medina Azahara and a bullfight with Morante de la Puebla, Talavante, and David de Miranda.

The musical offerings during the festivities will include daily performances by dance academies on the stage of Arroyo de La Represa Park and tribute concerts to Spanish pop (day 12) and Manuel Carrasco (day 13), both at the Antonio Gil 'El Nejo' bandstand of that venue. The closing will take place on Sunday, the 14th, the last day of the Fair, on Ramón y Cajal Avenue, the Andalusian Rock Night, with performances by Medina Azahara, Manzanita, and a tribute to Triana by local artist Juan de Lola. The program also includes a bullfight (day 13), featuring an extraordinary lineup: Morante de la Puebla, Talavante, and David de Miranda.

Special Devices

Half a thousand personnel from various security bodies and services will ensure safety during the Fair, with activities both in the city center and at the fairgrounds. The operation, which will have coordination centers in both spaces, will involve the participation of Local Police, National Police, Firefighters, Civil Protection, Traffic Civil Guard, private security, volunteers, and health services, as well as specialized units and extraordinary services that will reinforce the usual coverage of the city during the seven days of celebration.

There will be video surveillance with 32 cameras in the fairgrounds and in the center and deployment of the municipal drone unit.

Among these resources, there will be intervention units for night closures; plainclothes officers for preventive tasks against thefts and robberies; firefighters, who will physically remain at the Fair to supervise the temporary installations and maintain permanent contact with the fairgoers. In addition, the device will include specific video surveillance systems in both venues, with a total of 32 cameras installed, and the deployment of the municipal drone unit.

Regarding cleaning, the City Council will launch a special device aimed at ensuring maintenance, health, and a good image of the city during all days of celebration. It will be staffed by 75 operators, who will work in a coordinated manner in three shifts: morning, afternoon, and night, thus allowing it to remain active 24 hours a day. It will cover both the fairgrounds and the main spaces of the Old Town, where there will be a special daily street cleaning service.
