More than 20 women participate in the Marbella business skills training program

Today, the Marbella City Council closed the third edition of the 'Training Program for Women to Improve Entrepreneurial/Business Skills' at the Marbellup building, an initiative driven by the Equality Department that took place during April and May with 23 women participating. The program aims to strengthen the business skills of the attendees, provide tools for entrepreneurship, and help consolidate ongoing projects. The Councilor for Equality, Isabel Cintado, highlighted during the event that this proposal "aims to provide resources to improve professional skills and face new business start-ups and strengthen existing initiatives with greater guarantees."

The councilor, who was accompanied by the General Director of Economic Development and SMEs, Alejandro Freijo, particularly valued the involvement of the local business community and the support provided by key associations in the municipality. "Once again, we have had the invaluable participation of businesswomen and entities that are exemplary within our locality, such as REM, APYMESPA, and AMPREM, whose experience is essential to guide and support the participants," she emphasized. The event also included the presentation of diplomas to students from the previous call, in a meeting that served to recognize the effort made during the training process and to facilitate the exchange of experiences.

New Campaign on Social Networks

At the event, four established local businesswomen were also present, who were proposed by the institutions and business associations participating in the day. They spoke about their businesses, their careers, and gave recommendations to the attending students starting their projects: Griselda Noemí Papa Horgues Debat, owner of 'Gri Chic', Sonia Suárez Gavina, from '180komunica', Yovanka Manojlovic, from 'Clínica Helyos', and Susana López Morales, from 'Susana López Psicología'.

Cintado explained that the closing of the workshops also marks the start of a new phase aimed at giving visibility to the projects driven by the participants. "Starting today, we are launching the 'Equi-entrepreneurs' campaign, which will allow us to showcase through social networks the business proposals that have emerged within this program and strengthen those that are already functioning," she indicated. The councilor also noted that this action aims to strengthen the synergies between the participants and the business fabric of Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara.
