The councilor assigned to the Sports delegation, Luis Gil and the president of CD Fit Bike Estepona, Juan José López, have announced the Fit Bike Estepona BTT Marathon, which will take place next Sunday, May 24, starting at 09:30 AM, organized by C.D. Fit Bike Estepona, with the collaboration of the Unión Ciclista Virgen del Carmen and the City Council.

This event is part of the sports calendar of the XXVIII Provincial Cycling Circuit of the Málaga Provincial Council, comprising over 40 events in the categories of BTT Marathon, BTT Half Marathon, BTT XCO, BTT Schools, Road from the cadet category, and Road Schools.

Also present at the event were the president of the Spanish Association against Cancer of Estepona, Julia Crespo, and the photographer Virginia Villalba, who highlighted the charitable nature of the event where funds will be raised through what they have called 'Solidarity Photo', which will be donated to this charitable association that helps cancer patients.

The Fit Bike Estepona BTT Marathon, the third of the five BTT events of the Provincial Circuit 2026 of 65 kilometers in length and 1,360 meters in elevation, will allow the participation of electric bicycles (E-Bikes), according to the current technical regulations of the Andalusian Cycling Federation. These bicycles will start with a delay of 10 minutes compared to the rest of the participants in the competition.

The following categories can participate: Sub-23, Master 60-50-40-30, Junior, Elite (male and female), and Cyclotourists.

Registrations, limited to 300 participants, will remain open through the website's form until Thursday, May 21, at 3:00 PM, at a cost of 20 euros for federated participants and 32 euros for those who do not hold a federation license. The registration fee will increase by 5 euros from May 18, thus 25 euros for federated and 37 euros for non-federated. However, those who wish can register on the day of the event during the distribution of bibs (from 08:00 to 09:00 AM), provided there are free spots, with an additional increase of 5 euros, making it 30 euros for federated and 42 euros for non-federated. The registration form can be found on the website of the Andalusian Cycling Federation.
