Estepona collaborates with 'MasterChef' to promote local cuisine and heritage

The Estepona City Council has collaborated with the ‘MasterChef’ program in filming an outdoor challenge, and the judges will visit the kitchens of Sublim Beach chiringuito next week to assess the contestants' skills in serving at this type of establishment, according to a statement released this Friday by the Council. The initiative aims to promote local gastronomy and heritage.

Thus, the City Council highlighted in a statement that the recording of the program will be broadcast next Monday, May 18, at 10:50 PM on La 1 and RTVE Play, which was recently filmed at Playa del Padrón in the municipality.

The culinary program, produced by RTVE in collaboration with Shine Iberia, will promote Estepona's local gastronomy and heritage next week with a visit by the judges to the coastal town, where the contestants will learn how to manage service in a chiringuito.

In agreement, the jury of ‘MasterChef’ will organize a trip to Estepona, where the contestants must demonstrate their culinary skills in preparing dishes with local products in the kitchens of Sublim Beach, as pointed out by the Council.

For this, they will have the collaboration of actress Raquel Meroño, winner of ‘MasterChef Celebrity 5’, who will be responsible for forming the participating teams and designing the dishes of a menu based on technique and local products that will be served to a total of 80 guests, including local celebrities and regular customers of the establishment.

With this collaboration, the Estepona City Council aims to enhance and promote local gastronomy through the recording of the outdoor challenge of the culinary program and the upcoming visit of its judges to the beach establishment, where they will test the contestants' skills.
