The Film Area of the Marbella City Council's Culture Department will kick off its spring season next Monday, May 4, with a new program that will run until June 5. In total, it will include ten titles distributed in two series: the Buñuel Film Club, with five dubbed films, and the Special Cinephiles, with five original subtitled proposals. The screenings will take place at the Río Verde Institute in Marbella (Notario Luis Oliver Street, 18) and at the Municipal Music Center of San Pedro Alcántara (Plaza de la Libertad).

The program will start this Monday, May 4, at 8:00 PM in Marbella, and Tuesday, May 5, at 9:00 PM in San Pedro Alcántara with the movie 'The Voice of Hind', in its original version subtitled as part of the Special Cinephiles series. Directed by Kaouther Ben Hania, a prominent filmmaker in the contemporary Tunisian scene, the work addresses social and political themes through a narrative focused on memory, institutional violence, and experiences in conflict contexts.

Meanwhile, the Buñuel Film Club presents in dubbed version 'Night Shift', directed by Petra Volpe, a film framed within contemporary European social cinema. The movie depicts the intense day of a nurse working in an understaffed hospital, facing a critical situation during her shift. This title will be screened in a dubbed version on Wednesday and Thursday, May 6 and 7, at 8:00 PM in Marbella, and on Friday, May 8, in San Pedro Alcántara in two sessions, at 8:00 PM and 10:15 PM.
