The association 'Amigos de la Pasión' will stage biblical episodes such as the Last Supper or the Crucifixion. Estepona joins the 'Ecólatras Andalucía' campaign to promote sustainable projects.
The old town of Estepona will host the enactment of the Passion of Christ next Saturday, April 4th. This event, organized by the 'Amigos de la Pasión' association, will feature live representations of biblical episodes such as the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, as reported by the City Council this Tuesday.
Specifically, the Municipality highlighted in a statement that the religious enactment will have Miguel López Ramírez as director, Miguel Ángel López as assistant director, and Luque in technical coordination.
According to the City Council, in this staging of the Passion of Christ, which has been performed through the streets of the old town since 2014, about a hundred people participate, including amateur actors and technicians.
The performance will start at 5:30 PM at the Plaza San Francisco, next to the Church of Los Remedios, with the enactment of the Last Supper, and will continue along Blas Ortega street, concluding around 7:30 PM at the Botanical Park Orquidario with the Crucifixion.
The route of the Passion of Christ performance will continue through Blas Ortega street and Plaza Manuel Alcántara, where the Prayer in the Garden will be depicted. The association will then take Caravaca street and Plaza del Reloj, where the Palace of Caiaphas will be staged.
The event will proceed through Plaza Blas Infante and the streets Viento and Castillo, where the Palace of Pilate and the Palace of Herod will be represented, continuing through Santa Ana and Real streets, where the First Fall will be depicted.
The act will conclude with the representation of the Passion of Christ on the Terrace with the Second and Third Falls, ending with the Crucifixion at the Botanical Park Orquidario, as pointed out by the Municipality.
