Estepona launches a program of free courses on digital skills

The Estepona City Council has opened the registration period for the 'Yo Conecto' program, which offers 6 free, in-person courses with certification on key digital skills. These will be held at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center from March 17 to June 11, as announced on Monday by the Youth Councilor, Julia Simón.

This initiative is made possible through a collaboration agreement between the City Council and the CiberVoluntarios Foundation, a leading Spanish NGO with international recognition, aiming to promote an inclusive digital transition and eliminate the digital divide, as reported by the City Council in a statement.

The councilor highlighted that participants will be able to improve their job opportunities or boost their business online using applications for managing procedures. They will also have the opportunity to create content with Artificial Intelligence and learn to use digital marketing tools to grow their business.

“With this program, we aim for our citizens to acquire skills essential digital skills to enhance their job opportunities and promote entrepreneurship on the Internet, using digital marketing tools and applications for managing procedures,” Simón stated, emphasizing that participants “will also be able to explore content creation using Artificial Intelligence, a skill increasingly in demand.”

The program consists of a total of 6 courses that will take place from March 17 to June 11 in the computer lab of the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, each lasting 12 teaching hours, divided into four sessions from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Course Calendar

Regarding the schedule, Simón specified that the course on useful applications for managing procedures online will be held on March 17, 19, 24, and 26; the course on content creation with Artificial Intelligence on April 7, 9, 14, and 16; and the digital resume course on April 21, 23, 28, and 30.

In May, the courses 'Apply Artificial Intelligence in your business' will take place on May 5, 7, 12, and 14; 'Grow your brand: Marketing and online stores' on May 19, 21, 26, and 28; and 'Safe Internet for minors' on June 2, 4, 9, and 11.
