Omega celebrates 30 years of flamenco revolution at Starlite Marbella

Kiki Morente and Lagartija Nick will bring back to the stage the groundbreaking work with which Enrique Morente broke down the boundaries between flamenco, rock and poetry.

The Starlite Occident Marbella Auditorium will host Omega 30th Anniversary on Saturday, 15 August 2026, celebrating one of the most influential and daring projects in contemporary Spanish music.

Originally released in 1996, Omega brought together the voice and artistic vision of Enrique Morente with the electric energy of Lagartija Nick. The result was a landmark album that transformed the relationship between flamenco and rock, while incorporating the poetry of Federico García Lorca and adaptations of songs by Leonard Cohen.

Three decades later, the project returns to the stage with Kiki Morente and Lagartija Nick. The Granada-based band will preserve the experimental spirit and rock intensity of the original recording, while Kiki Morente will contribute his own voice and personal connection to his father’s artistic legacy.

The performance will revisit some of the most representative moments from Omega through a production designed to immerse the audience in a dialogue between tradition and the avant-garde. Rather than presenting a conventional tribute, the show aims to keep alive the creative freedom, risk and emotional power that made the album an inspiration for several generations.

The concert will begin at 10 pm, with doors opening at 8 pm. Tickets are available through Starlite’s official booking platform. Guests under the age of 18 must leave the venue once the performance has ended.

A special evening beneath the Marbella stars, offering audiences the chance to rediscover a work that permanently changed the way contemporary flamenco is understood.
