The Candlelight concerts continue to light up and fill Málaga with music during this month of December. We close 2024 with a series of tribute concerts to prominent bands and artists such as Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, The Beatles, and Ed Sheeran, as well as Christmas specials. From the Gran Hotel Miramar to the Museo Carmen Thyssen, and passing through the Sala Unicaja de Conciertos María Cristina, these will be some of the magical places for the upcoming candlelit music performances in Málaga, exceptional environments that promise to offer a unique live music experience.
The upcoming Sunday, December 8th will feature a tribute concert to Coldplay and Imagine Dragons at the Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga, with two scheduled sessions at 20:30 and 22:15 hours, although tickets are only available for the latter. Tickets for the second session are also very limited, only at 41, 45, and 47 euros. The string quartet Ensemble Résonance will be responsible for performing classics by Coldplay and Imagine Dragons such as Clocks, Something Just Like This, and Adventure of a Lifetime from the former, and Radioactive, Natural, and Next to Me from the latter.
There are also few tickets available for the upcoming Friday, December 6th with the tribute to The Beatles at the Salón Real del Gran Hotel Miramar. The 19:30 session is almost sold out, with tickets starting at 42 euros. The string quartet Melissando will perform some of the classics like All You Need is Love, Yesterday, Help!, Something, Hey Jude, and Imagine.
For Saturday, December 14th, there will be a very special concert of Candlelight Christmas: Christmas Classics at the Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga. There are no tickets left for the first session (20:30) but there are some for the second (22:15), although the cheapest ones are already sold out. Prices start from 46 euros. Once again, the string quartet Melissando will perform themes like Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker, Silent Night, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!, Feliz Navidad, or Jingle Bells.
On Friday, December 27th, a tribute concert to Coldplay will be held at the Salón Real del Gran Hotel Miramar, with a single session at 19:00 hours. The string quartet Origen will perform songs like Clocks, Don’t Panic, Speed of Sound, Trouble, and Fix You, among others. Tickets available are priced between 33.60 to 35.20 euros.
Also on Friday, December 27th, a Candlelight: Rings and Dragons will take place at the Sala Unicaja de Conciertos María Cristina, with a session at 17:45 hours. Tickets, from 21.60 euros. The string quartet Melissando will perform classics from The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones.
There are also few tickets available for the upcoming Saturday, December 28th with the special to Coldplay and Ed Sheeran at the Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga. The 20:30 session is nearly sold out, with tickets starting at 36 euros. For the second session at 22:15, all are still available. The string quartet Ensemble Résonance will perform some of the classics by Coldplay such as Clocks, Viva la Vida, or Sky Full of Stars; and by Ed Sheeran, like Bad Habits, Photograph, or Give Me Love.
